Sorry, forgot to mention the last one was different:

And for the record, I have no countdown on Qoth. Nor do I have anything in the source.

I'd post mine, but it's not letting me. Not even between 'code' params.

The key line, which the bbs software removes, is:

script type="text/javascript" src="count.js"

Perhaps it was there, and then he removed it... or maybe even more cleverly, the page may have been set to erase it after a few people loaded the page - just long enough for a few people to catch it before it disappeared. But it's more likely the former than the latter. May have been a goof, and shouldn't have been there yet...

Ahh! Thanks Gary, I'll update the list...

I had that in the source code when I first loaded the page, but i didn't see any countdown...or maybe i just missed it. Whatever the case, it appears to be gone now for most, if not all, people.

I still have the window open and it's still counting down.

But if I open another window at the same url, it's blank like the other letters.

Curiouser and curiouser . . .

So Gary - you still have the page loaded with the countdown?

Can you post the entire source as you see it?

I'm a software developer, so I want to hack around and see what I can find, but having that source would make it a lot easier. Very Happy

10:30 pm + 11.5 hours = 10:00 AM, not pm, right?

Geek talk:

That's because your browser has it cached from your original load. JavaScript runs client-side, so as long as you leave that page up, it will continue to work - even if he removed the code from the server-side. Any subsequent loads of the page (like the one you tried where you opened a second window) will reload from the server.

So keep that page up as long as you can. Very Happy
