... okay, so, I hate twitter, but I love LOST.... <_< I guess I'll have to hope this one's better than the last, and throw my lot back in with a new ARG. *goes to catch up*

If you people are at twitter, feel free to add me: I'm Merzmensch there.

I like the story about 27 disappearance. I wonder, how it will continue.

soooo

Y'all are what I would consider as close to "professional" arg players as anyone can get.

What do you think? is this a fake/ a hoax?

I was totally in at the beginning, but its wearing me out (at work all day can't participate) it seems like its way to "all over the place" to be real and organized.

Things are rarely either/or black/white in the ARG-like space. I believe this is NOT sponsored by ABC, and not produced by the producers of LOST; this is only my personal gut feeling, but I believe it to be a fan production. However, I would not call it "fake" or a "hoax" at all, because it doesn't try to trick us into thinking it is anything more than some side characters and a side story. Beyond that, it is a matter of your own personal taste as to whether a game needs to be "well organized" to be fun to follow along.

Yes, I agree, there are many aspects showing to non-official origin of this ARG. But as long as it's interesting, I'm in.

As long as it's interesting and fun to follow, why not? Official or unofficial, any Lost ARG I can follow is good news for me.

I must say I'm intrigued by the "27" concept. I'm gonna do some poking around to see if I can find anything on those sites someone might have missed.

BTW, people, our Characters are signaling us to follow the right IG peoples and to avoid gamejacks (if there were one at this early point of this ARG).

(I'd say, I recall Alice and Bev from Star Trek ARG, who also twittered to us with many hints and correction due to their scheduled ARG plan Smile)

Just found this by looking at the source code for the "100 Photographs" gallery:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_II_of_England

/Edit: Okay, weird. The link on the page that says "follow" used to lead to a blog. It now leads to the above mentioned wiki page. This happened very recently, no more than 5 minutes ago.

Read the wiki page, nothing jumps out at me. None of the dates are 27 years apart. Maybe I'm missing something more subtle?

So, would you say that its a clue that http://twitter.com/Hotth might be OOG?

That's weird, intersect. Up until 10 minutes ago or so, the page would take me to this:

http://toasty-doodle.blogspot.com/2009/01/day-27-birthday-candle.html

Which, besides having 27 in it, hasn't really shown anything. Nothing in the source code I can see, no odd comments...weird.

They really are trying to stress the importance of 27 aren't they? and its not even one of the numbers

Yeah, I know. But then, if this is an unofficial ARG, they could always expand upon the whole "numbers of fate" thing. After all, with the whole Jacob thing happening at the end of the latest season, it's conceivable that this particular happening/event/what-have-you is associated with its own number.

Or I could just be way off base. But hey, that's what speculation is for.
