[Viral] History Channel goes Viral?
May 25th 2009: This Changes Everything.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Eg7ICKJrhg

http://www.history.com/content/this-changes-everything

They give us a bunch of dates in the video.

July 20, 1969 was the moon landing.
November 22 1963 was the assassination of John F Kennedy
March 4th 1933 was the launch of the new deal
November 4th 2008 was when Barack Obama was elected
January 28th 1986 was the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster

there's a bunch of other dates there, but im too lazy to figure them out. What do you think? Some new special that says that everything we know was preordained/created by aliens or somethin'?

I don't know, this doesn't seem as awe-inspiringly unmissable as the videos imply...

Actually I got the time wrong. What ever happens at the end of the countdown is after the Mayan Doomsday show which is from 8-9pm EST. The next show on the schedule is Life After People at 11pm.

pretty sure you're thinking 2012. and no -- that's just when the mayans decided they'd build enough giant stone calendars, and could rest a while.

did anyone else see the commercial that said:

"She was just a girl when she died. But..." and something along the lines of her changing history, then showed May 25, 2009 9pm... I saw the other one alot, but only saw this one once while I was watching the Valkyrie documentary.

Didn't see the commercial but saw a bunch of news stories today about "Ida" the 47M year old primate fossil. Supposed to be the missing link to humanity and primates or something. I could see how History Channel would try to hail this as the most important discovery in 47M Years like the viral ad claims. /endspec
