Regarding lugnut's encoded Orwell quote-

I wrote back to him, mentioned the quote, and (since I haven't gotten anywhere with it yet) asked if I should keep digging. Got a reply in hex that translated to binary that translated to:

Quote:
There is always an easy solution to every human problem -- neat, plausible, and wrong

So... what I take from that is, the '1984' solution is neat, and plausible, but not the final solution (?)

Anyone have any thoughts?

I wrote to Pastor Ludd, inquiring about his preachings. Just got this response-

Nice work, PostLarval. Afraid I haven't any thoughts on the 1984 puzzle, There's a lot of strands at the moment that could be leading somewhere, but might not be, or that we're currently waiting on. To summarise.

- Is the Inactivewear commercial really "just a commercial", or is it a hint for something? (Leaning towards the red herring answer at the moment.

- What stuff did Timetobuzzthetwoer get in the post about mbilf.biz? There's a mention of codes. In my video I asked for any more information, but in the last e-mail I got from O11iver he said they'd already sent most of that stuff out, so we may be hanging til Wednesday on that.

- What's the admin username and password for mbilf.biz? Where are the logical hints for it? I guess in the stuff timetobuzz has -- so I'm waiting on that . . .

- What is lugnut trying to tell us? We've got the "I know too much" website he's pointed us to, and now an Orwell quotation as well. Why does Dr C watch him so closely? What's the conspiracy here?

- Has anyone bought a t-shirt? Does anything interesting come with it?

I'm hoping maybe Rowan now has some guidance for us on some of this. Currently I've got multiple feelers out -- the photos I sent to mbilf, my video response to O11iver, and a couple of (unreplied-to) messages to lugnut. So at the moment I'm feeling like just sitting pretty and waiting to see what comes next.

--

But now we've got the God Hates Robots video! And that's intriguing. I feel like this section in particular may be a hint:

Quote:
t seems so obvious once you have that small kernel of information, of insight -- it's like a key that opens up your whole mind. And when you look around, and you see a microwave, and you see, you see anything that is plugged in to the electronic grid -- which they are pushing data on -- and you can put the google on that, and you can find that out -- there are people talking about putting data down on the electric lines of the electric grid . . . and they could come in from anywhere now.

Partly because it talks about a key, and partly because it suggests putting the Google on something, I think it may lead us somewhere. I've tried a few Google searches based on the video and got nowhere yet, but will try some more later. Also, given the solution to the mbilf member name and password puzzle, I suspect that the fact that "God", "The Google" and "Back-Tech" flash up on screen at points may be significant.

I feel like we're building to something![/quote]

Rowan posted a link on her twitter leading to her flickr with pictures from the date

There are binary codes connected to mbilf.biz .
This particular image has tagged frames within it, I just noticed.
Ninjas for Siege and a CD for Strifey. Smile

Oh, Rowan also posted the solution to the binary:

Not sure what video they are referencing though.

It must be one of the videos on the MLR page, then?
Nope, none of them are long enough. Probably there's a video on the CD.
And get "what"? Maybe the stuff 011iver gave to Rowan.

Edit: I think I have to pick up PL's custum of underlining the links...I cannot distinguish between the black and the red used on these boards. I remember that I had trouble with this when I first came here, but it seems to be getting worse...I can not tell them apart any more!

The ninjas and cd were from me to Siege and strifey if they had SHOWN UP! I just took the photo in the park with my other stuff so they could see that I had it with me.

One part of that binary translation is missing (flickr page must have read it as code)-

@Abraxas totally agreed on the color distinction... I underline so no one will miss the link Smile

Ah, glad that mug had a clue on it. O11iver had actually told me you were getting it, and I was all excited for you! Which, now that I think about it, is kind of strange . . .

There'll be a video coming from the date, I'm assuming -- and I guess that might be the one that's long enough. Given that nothing is so far, we may just have to wait!

Nothing on the photos, video or lugnut-pursuing yet. Poor H(e)x feels neglected, but then, Tim and O11iver have been having a rather busy time this weekend.

The admin only area's what we're trying to get to, isn't it?

I just timed the members' only video; I make it 3.45. Maybe we're supposed to loop it? Gonna find out what's 3 minutes into it.

Remember we've also got the sound samples from Ram Savage. Gonna have a listen to those too.

EDIT: Looping the members' only video would put 6:45 at the point where Johnny 5-inches is humping the refrigerator. There's a lot of noise; at the precise instant I timed it to, J5I is groaning, there's a bleeped out word, and the director says "that's my REFRIGERATOR" ("refrigerator" being the exact word). So I think that's a no-go. Also, none of the Ram Savage calls are long enough. I'm not really intending to try this loop experiment with other videos, as I think it's a long shot, but if someone else wants to that'd be great!

Hey all-

Hopefully the package is at my house in AZ, unfortunately, I'm still in Indiana for the next couple days.... or is it unfortunate?

I haven't been keeping up with anything, but I noticed this God Hates Robots thing is in Indiana...

If there's an address or something nearby Fort Wayne, I may be able to grab tomorrow (Monday).

Anyone that wants to fill me in with anything I know or should be looking for, feel free TimetobuzzthetowerSPLATgmail.com.

Other than that, as soon as I get home, I'll open the package and try to get you guys any info that's in there.

Sorry for the wait and delay, but 100th birthday parties don't happen very often, and far be it from me to pass it up!

Don't know if you noticed, but H(e)x's sexy pics are up on MBILF. Under the photos section, labeled 'our newest model'. Just scroll to the end. Very Happy

The video from the date is up!

Also, jamesi just called 011iver during the ARG netcast. It was hysterical. Timm kept yelling in the background, "Is it a girl?" Afterwards, 011iver twittered about it..

some guy named Jonathan just called representing some "community," I think this "community" might be some kind of robo-swingers club.
