I like the mouse-overs on Dan Collins (He is innocent of all guilt.) and Robert Dynamo (He cannot be trusted.). Can't see them in Firefox, but can in IE.
EDIT: main page has "and rampant creativity do not mix" hidden in the source code.
News and Contact pages have "Path of the Blue Eye Closely" hidden in the source code.

I took a guess and used
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'Follow the' as the subject
with the source code message as the body.
Quote:
Congratulations you have solved your second challenge. Now, on to the third one.
This will require some live participation from you -- online or elsewhere.
Download the image here: www.dnargus.com/bep/Eye.jpg. (Use the username and password we provided previously.)
1. Print it out, in black and white or color and take a photo of yourself with the image OUTDOORS or at another public venue. Post the image to a blog, or photosharing site like Flicker or PhotoBucket. OR
2. Post the image to a popular social network (like Facebook).
3. Send us a link to the photo.
As before, send an e-mail to befollowerSPLAT gmail.com about the image following these instructions:
1. Send us an e-mail with the following words in the subject line: Link Bait
2. The body of the e-mail should have a link to your photo.
We look forward to seeing your image.

I'm paranoid so I posted a picture of myself with the path of the eye covering my face. The reply was automatic:
Quote:
Congratulations you have solved your third challenge. Now, on to the fourth and final puzzle.
Complete one of the following puzzles:
1. The Sudoku puzzle located here: www.dnargus.com/bep/puzzle.jpg. Use the username and password we provided.
2. Solve this cryptogram:
O G Y K X A G P X P U G V X Y Y X O G S W X V P U G L B P U . U B C G L B P N G I K G , Z X E S I G J P K U B Y Y G I R G O N Y Y K X A G B P B I E I G J L G K P G T P N A G .
Following is your hint:
B = A
Send an e-mail to befollowerSPLAT gmail.com. With the word solved in the subject line of your message.
Attach (for the puzzle) or type out your solution (for the cryptogram) in the body of the e-mail.
We look forward to hearing from you.

@ Daeld: I don't show my face on the picture too
I solved the Sudoku puzzle. I couldt post the solution here if i find out how to load up a picture.
After solving the puzzle following email was send:
Quote:
Thank you for completing our challenges.
We'll have to hand-check your solution to determine if it is correct.
Once a critical mass of people have completed the challenges, we'll send a mass e-mail out about the next stage.
Until then sit tight and thanks again.

As for the Second phase innovation puzzle involving the jigsaw picture:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'm pretty baffled as to how you are supposed to get 'Follow The' from the picture of the jigsaw, assuming you weren't using the lead from the second half of the message. I wish I could find it.

ALT TEXT? Would it b 2 obvious? At first I was looking at the puzzle image for some kind of code/language buried amidst the pixels. Then I figured, maybe the real clue is a lot more simple -- "missing image". After all, doesn't the photobucket image ressemble the standard image we see when a picture is not displaying? And if a pict. is not displaying, a user sees the "alt" text, right? And the alt text on the homepage image is "The post-human age is full of bounty, happiness and peace. " .. but guess what --?--I must be wrong because I'm getting no reply from befollower! Oh well, I thought I was close. Anyone else have a thought?

As a long-time ARGer, I have to say that when the PM posts in the UF topic, it bugs me and makes me not want to continue playing their game because now the "alternate" in "alternate reality" is gone.
It's like breaking the fourth wall. Just don't do it.

Here's another message from the PM
It seems that this is part of the game...I'm not sure if it is allowed in the forum...
Quote:
Your friends are doing well. I am pleased.
One of my . . . associates got a little carried away earlier today and transmitted some information that was . . . misinterpreted by others following the process. Send them my apologies. He has been . . . disciplined.
Please communicate to your friends that you have been selected to transmit information from me in the future.
Please tell them that the process will continue until we gather a critical mass of supporters to our cause.
I sense that you have leadership potential and would like to continue to work with you in the future. Let me know If you accept this responsibility.
Finally, tell your friends to have patience. The next stage will be announced via you in the weeks to come.
Jane Doe
I have accepted as I assume it is part of the game.
Could the long-timers please advice as to what I should do if I start getting clues (ie post here versus post in a wiki or something... )
