I didn't post the last few days. Sorry for that. (Unfortunately - at least for the game) I started a new job this week and don't have much free time at the moment. That's why I sent TV a mail with the request to give my spot to someone else. I am really sorry that I can't play until the end but hopefully I will at least have the time to lurk and follow you on your adventures.

I wasn't able to do so during the last days, but maybe this will change next week.

Wishing you all the best and have fun and hopefully someone else will get the chance to move to transition village.

XaRen

Hmmmm, I got an interesting answer:
Quote:
You poke the sleeping king and then ask Muff, who has kneeled down to hear you, just what in the world is going on.

The new traveler walks over and introduces himself as Kyle.

Just then, the professor stands up. You gasp. He looks a little confused, and then he touches his crown. With an angry jerk, he yanks it off his head for a look. The reality of his position seems to dawn on him.

Before he can ask questions, though, one of the garnets shoots out a tiny note. He reads it out loud:

"Please meet your Queen in the Grand Ballroom for your royal festival dance no later than this Wednesday. Speak the bolded word out loud to be transported."

He stops there and looks at Kyle, dumbfounded.

Kyle holds a strange flowerpot in his hands.

From an unknown place in the sky, another letter comes. It is microscopic, and it lands in your little fingers.

You open it. It says only two words:

Forest

and

Wolf

Neither word was in bold face. Since it is so tiny I wonder if it's a "my eyes only" note. Maybe I'm supposed to go find another lost pet in the forest. A wolf this time.

My response:
Quote:
I turn to look back at the forest then again read the slip of paper in my hands; "Forest Wolf." Quickly turning thoughts over in my mind the only conclusion I can reach is that I must head back to the forest. This time alone and unprotected by my larger than life friends.

I glance around at the group of people noting that all seem to be focused on the king. Dodging around legs and feet I make my way out of the group and begin a steady jog toward the forest.

My plan did not go how I thought it would...

Quote:
You make a very compelling argument, however, your fellow traveler (blood bags) appears to be frozen with fear and does not seem to hear your words.

There is no time. You have to make a decision. Since he wasn't able think it over, you decide for him. Pulling the stake from his shaking hands, you prick his finger and lift it to your mouth.

But before you can get a single drop, the rolly polly little bat leaps up and latches on! He sucks and sucks until the traveler's complexion goes a bit white, and his teeth begin to grow.

His blood is no longer appetizing to you. You are very hungry.

I am now trying to get into the mansion with the bat in order to accomplish my quest and find some food so that hopefully I don't have to feed on any of you. My apologies in advance should this scenario arise.

Ooops, missed the last few days, been a bit busy with school and stuff. Will make a move soon - congratulations, King Robbie and Queen Lairo!

Also, His and Her Majesty, if Vaeri doesn't work, try saying Dance. Another Draconian word Very Happy

Ummmm, did anyone get a response last night? I didn't...

UPDATE: The replies came much later than usual, and included a note that "The Governor appreciates your attention to the news." The blog has been updated, and notes that Tuesday responses will come on Wednesday. I guess it was posted earlier and I missed it.

There's also a new opening, though only the "uninfected" should apply. Guess me and Ifi are out Wink

Quote:
Coming to your senses, you realize that you need to think quickly when dealing with vampires. You are terribly hungry, but you use your remaining strength (as well as a desire to find blood – a desire that you try very hard to suppress) to jump backward on the roof, hand from the brick tile, and smash through the nearest window.

You roll onto the floor of a room and catch your breath. You made it! Standing up, you notice several drops of blood on the counter nearby. Though it makes no sense that it is there, you lap it up gladly, pleased to be able to feed without hurting anyone.

A bit less ravenous now, you take a look around the room. It is filled with laundry. A wash basin is next to you, smeared with your leftovers, a sink is at the right wall, and an overfilled basket of clothes and linens is at the left wall. There is one chair in the middle of the room. Above the wash basin is a cabinet.

The Governor appreciates your attention to the news.

Not sure if I have the bat or not... Ifi, do you have it? Also... no doors??

I'm guessing saying Vaeri worked. Smile

There's 3 new openings. A ghost roach eradicator, a vampire feeder, and the Assistant to the Governor - so if anyone wants to get in, now is as good a time as any.

TV:
Quote:
You ask for a non-alcoholic drink, and he begins searching under the bar for something you might like. As he looks around, you examine the items he was staring at. There are some average-looking bottles of liquor, a Ghostly Bartender's Guide, and a bottle opener. Next to the bottle opener are two special-looking bottles. You squint to see better. There is a face pressed against the glass of one of them. They contain spirits!

The bartender stands up and hands you a drink. You do not recognize this liquid, but it smells very nice.

Just then, there is a wooshing sound, and you turn around. A man has appeared in the center of the dance floor, wearing a snazzy tuxedo with a light blue vest, and a sparkling, garnet and gold crown on his head. He waits, looking a little confused.

Then there is a second wooshing sound, and a woman appears. She is in an elegant pink dress with a fluffy feather boa, and she, too, wears a glistening crown of gold and pink on her head.

The woman seems very thirsty, and the bartender notices this. He looks distracted by the new guests.

The Governor appreciates your attention to the news

Me:
Quote:
"I guess they must be the King and Queen I've heard about..", I think to myself. While the bartender is distracted by the guests that have now appeared, I approach the two special bottles containing the spirits. "I guess the bartender is looking after them.". Thinking carefully, I decide to ask the bartender about the spirit bottles. Maybe I can find out why they're in bottles instead of roaming the village like the others.

"Hey, bartender, are these bottles yours? Do you know that there's spirits inside them?".

Quote:
The woman dashes out of the room before you can follow her. Now alone, you wonder whether you should just open the door on your own.

Then, to your surprise, a person crashes through the window above the cabinet and rolls onto the floor next to you. You stand up in surprise and pain, as glass pierces your arm. There is blood all over the basin. You hold your breath. Will you be caught?

But the traveler looks different from other human beings – he is too pale, and there are those teeth…

He sees your blood on the basin, and instead of looking for its source, he drops his head to the counter top and begins lapping your blood up as you watch, silent.

This traveler is a vampire.

LOOK at what you did lol...

T.V.'s reply to my last turn:
Quote:
The air changes around you, as you spin and feel yourself being lifted away. Your clothes are falling off and instantly being replaced by something cleaner, crisper, newer…
You land in a golden ballroom, standing right in the middle of the dance floor. Across the room, on the left wall, is a bar with a bartender and one traveler with a drink in his hand. There is no one else here.
You look down at your clothes and see that you are wearing a very nice tuxedo with a light, blue vest. The crown is still firmly on your head.
Just then, a woman appears. You recognize her from adventures past, but she does not look like the normal traveler she did back then. Today her hair is curled and arranged for a formal event. She is in an elegant pink dress with a fluffy feather boa, and she, too, wears a glistening crown of gold and pink on her head.
Keeping a tight grip on the dirt in your hand, you extend your arm for a dance when the traveler shakes her head and grabs her throat. "Thirsty," she coughs.

The Governor appreciates your attention to the news.

My Reply:
Quote:
Overcome by the beauty of my newfound Queen I gaze at her, mouth agape. Even as she sits there coughing she is radiant, the sparkle of her crown paling in comparison to that of her eyes.

"Oh boy...", I stammer and look around, taking in my surroundings. Noticing immediately the manned bar I look down at my tiny companion.

"Um, well miss..."

Priestess Nests.

"Priestess Nests? Really? How can I hear you?"

Do you really need to ask? Don't you know?

Thinking to myself it occurs to me I do and a small smile cracks my face.

"Look, I'm going to get you to safety, but I can't operate with one hand tied behind my back, let alone dance. I'm going to tuck you away for a bit in my shirt, but I promise you, I will get you to your church."

I know you will, my dear professor.

With that I take the tiny ball of warmth and light and tuck it into my right breast pocket, being sure to fasten the pocket shut once I have deposited the priestess safely.

"Now then, about that Queen...", I say aloud as I rapidly approach the bar.

"Bartender, fix me something worthy of royalty, and do it quick. There's a pretty lady counting on me..."

On a side note, I want to apologize to everyone. I've been playing more or less on my own, not really taking the time to read what was going on with everyone else. I'm not going to make excuses as to why, I just wanted to apologize.

I realize a lot of you have had quite a bit of interaction with me without me even knowing it and I feel like a jerk for not having responded or acknowledging it.

At any rate, I have read everything and know what everyone is up to. My apologies again, I was a much better team player last time and I've let some personal issues narrow my focus this time around.

For what it's worth, that wont be the case from here on out.

Game on and all hail the King, baby.

Looks like I guessed correctly on what to do:
Quote:
Everyone around you is focused on the king, who is weighing his options and looks as though he's about to speak the bolded word. No one will notice you leaving. You're so tiny…

You hop over feet and around legs and make your way to the forest beyond the field.

It's a long journey with legs as small as yours, but you feel certain there is a reason your note directed you this way. You run faster than you've ever gone in your life, and still it seems to take an eternity to get even a few feet closer.

Eventually you arrive at the first trees – the beginning of a thick and wild forest that is as dark as midnight.

You take a deep breath and wander in, keeping your eyes out for a wolf.

Just ahead of you, something growls. It is a low, guttural sound – the sound of an animal about to pounce. You can only see about a foot in front of you because of the darkness, so you know the beast must be at least farther away than that.

At your feet you notice two items: a bone and a sharp knife. You may take only one item per turn.

The Governor appreciates your attention to the news.

I'm pretty sure the knife will do me no good against a wolf seeing as how I'm so small. I think I will try to tempt it with the bone.

I would go with the bone too. I always, as a rule, try to pick the most absurd item. It usually ends well. Except for the time I died, but I wouldn't sweat that... Wink

I updated the Wiki again, to the best of my knowledge with regard to the layout of the mansion. http://tv2.wikia.com/wiki/Mansion_Layout It's a lot more in-depth than it was. I'm missing some of the Items, and there are a few rooms that I'm not absolutely sure about (especially in regard to the Laundry Room, where me and Caffiend happen to be).

Lairosiel, if you could post your response it would probably help quite a bit. I believe you went through the door that I'm not 100% certain where it goes.

Ifihadahifi, I'm really interested to know if your response from TV was explicit about which one of us managed to hold on to the bat.

HAHAHA. I think that you should change your icon permanantly. The Indiana hat with the rubies works. Lairo should as well, she looks good with a crown on.
