Look within

Some comments from Rabbit Black on the zurkpert page:

Quote:

Well done my apprentices. I will return soon with the next lesson. I'm glad the simple part is over. Fear not the scattering; we must let the path unfold.

Rabbit Black - Jun 14, 2009 6:56 PM
In times of old I would have taught all until now over a few centuries. However, the time is far spent. I must prepare you quickly for the scattering that must come.

Rabbit Black - Jun 14, 2009 7:05 PM
Now let me be sober for one moment. I will prepare you and you will be ready. However, I have let you come here without completing the most basic part of the first lesson. Something so simple that it is unimportant in itself. Yet your ability to look within will bring forth fruits instead of wasted labor in the near future.

He has now several times mentioned "Look within". We are discussing this issue in the chat right now (#rabbitblack).

ETA:
Look Within:

The script-recognition-test.jpg has a stegged textfile within
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Script Test Instruction.txt

This is the first test of true apprenticeship.

Read the text (the language is the common tongue).
This is just part of the script.
But you have it within you to be able to discern the meaning.

I will teach you my language later.

Do not concern yourself with the red message for now.
You will know what it means when you become fully inducted.

To add to what AUZ said, he opened it with Camouflage, no password needed. I let Tylean know we found it:
We took your counsel to look within
For awhile it made the apprentices heads spin
By checking everywhere all around
In time the answer you left was found.

In(tro)specting for a stegged file was a very smooth idea and that bril poem is imo what Tylean was waiting to hear. Rock On

Key

In order to FEEL like I'm contributing I decided I'd do a key. I'll update as we get more.

Thanks DbD.

Here's Tylean's response to my email letting him know the camo'd image was resolved:

Perhaps stating the obvious, but I couldn't find someone mentioning it:
The script kind of looks like our letters. There's a little bit of a system behind it. The M is the N with another stroke through it, as our M has an extra stroke, too. Some letters look almost the same. The S is basically mirrored. V and W have a stroke added on top and then turned upside-down. The H seems to be halved.

The red script may follow a similar rule. Perhaps you have to read the white space instead of the runes. Or you have to apply the rules from the black script somehow. Perhaps double up instead of dividing in half, removing strokes and so forth.

You are right, the PM is extremely impatient almost as if they have some other schedule going down and need to get this somewhere fast...

I can't get camouflage to work, it keeps telling me there is a password, or it doesn't contain a hidden file.

Hello Erin, sorry about WISH? Tres is right. You should just start reading the thread esp. the first post....
then post a comment with your email address on Tylean's Blog

Yaha, Enaxor, just double checked. Got same result as you on the bitmap file and I've got latest Camoflage installed.
