For text file #2 "He rhymed at length"? Try "Shakespeare"

Go to the exam page and click on each image; then download the large image and camo works properly. (thanks AUZ)

So... my guesses for the riddles are aorta, Shakespeare... and some guy who made a healing stone? Any bright ideas for how to get a book title out of these things?

Did anyone else get this email from him?

Quote:
I fear that some of
the other apprentices are more given to the darker side of Speakerhood. Yet time is short and I must
let the Prophecy unfold. Its details are held from even me, but at least I know the time of the Scattering.
I recall when the count down could be measured in centuries...Alas those were braver days. You are
the hope of the world now. Untrained, unschooled, yet your hearts and minds are set in the right place.
I gain much strength from that. It reminds me of the old song...

Moritu nefai truns; ank mi Dom, um mi fei.
Moritu nefai truns; ank mi Dom, um mi fei.
Ahum recordem moritu na nefai truns.
Ahum recordem moritu fai kiri um parti.
Moritu nefai truns!
Ank mi Dom netin fai truns
Ank mi Dom um mi Fei, na, moritu, ne sekeri fai.
Um moritu, nefai kiringe

I also got this song:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone? Nicolas Flamel made the healing stone.

Auto translator from latin... I think it missed a lot, but I still think that those lyrics are latin, I'll keep working on it

Spent a while searching for healing stones and blood vessels referenced by Shakespeare. A few vague Philosopher's Stone hits, but nothing useful.

Tucked inside the new MIDI with notepad:

Quote:
This is a good start my young apprentice. I hope you can finish the score before we go to our next battle.
I made some corrections. Check it with Abie. I know she's busy, but I sure she'll make time to help you.
Tylean.

I guess he knows she's alive now?

Great finds, everyone. I wish I could help, but I'm at work, currently. Sad

Something else: Where are Psysop and kosmopol?

I guess the one message from Tylean means that he fears that the "three" are not working together anymore...

Email from Rabbit just now, after I asked him about the language of the song and told him we found the message in it:
Quote:
The language is the language of the book. It is as old as the language of Adam. When the languages were confounded, the Language of the Book remained. It formed the basis for other languages, here a little and there a little. But perchance it is yet beyond you ken.
Ah, the message, that is from a time long gone...I long for those days...

EDIT: Email from Abie about the song:
Quote:
I am sorry to have delayed my reply. I have not heard the song for over 200 years, yet for me it is only as if a decade. I have been in tears since I received your e-mail.
My brother was its composer...Tylean was instructing him. For sixty-three years was he composing it. He was nearly finished when Tylean wrote that in his manuscript. He must have transcribed it somehow...I did no know he still had it. My brother died the next day by an attack from the TEDO (as they now call themselves). I could not forgive Tylean. He could have stopped it. He knew what would happen. Instead he just let "events unfold". I was sick of hearing that phrase in almost everything he said. I rebelled. I left to study...other arts...Three weeks later they were all dead...All except for Tylean, who could only bring himself to "watching" and "waiting" and "knowing". I was so furious then. I thought I could change things. But now I see the error of my ways. That is why I returned. I thought he didn't know I was here, but why else would he give you that file? Surely he knows that none of you have the Lore to finish the song? It must be a message to me. He must want me to see his latest post. After all, I know the name of the Book.

I will look into it.

Abie the Time

EDIT2: Another email from Rabbit about Abie and the pw:

Quote:
I am pleased that you have searched within. Indeed I perceive your thoughts are almost aligned with the power of the names. Yet you will need help. She is ready, but she is yet ignorant of her readiness and of the need you will have for her all too soon.

In chat we played around with the song lyrics, picking up from what Hazred started with. We tried the words on Webster's Online Dictionary. Here is the first draft, slapped together from the parts with original writing in brackets:
Quote:

to die abominable not whole; anew my home, ancestor/he/man me pay.
to die abominable not whole; anew my home, ancestor/he/man me pay.
storm memory to die abominable not whole [na].
storm memory to die [fai kiri um parti].
to die abominable not whole!
anew my home [ne-tin fai] not whole
anew my home ancestor/he/man me pay, [na] to die, falling apart[-ri] [ne...fai].
ancestor/he/man to die, abominable [kiri-nge]

Regarding "ahum", I think I prefer this:
Quote:
Ahum
Ahum (Avestan) The lower personal existence or personal life; the lowest triad in the human septenary constitution: the physical body, the vital principle, and the astral body.

I have to say, I love made-up languages. If they are somehow consistent in themselves...fascinated by that stuff. Ok, this should explain the following rambling...

I filled in some gaps with guesses and then tried to derive grammar...it may be just my wishful thinking, but it seems to make sense.

Beware, unstructured thoughts follow:
It may be a coincidence that "nefai" exists. It seems to me that the words or word fragments "ne" and "fai" should stand on their own. Perhaps it's similar to "ne fait" in French. Without the "pas".
"na" may be a negation or that was "ne" all along? "-ri" could be a flexion of "seke". Maybe future tense? "-tin" and "-nge" could be tenses, too. Maybe the latter is past tense and the former is conjunctive, passive or something.
[fai kiri um parti] could be a lot of things. But "kiri" could be the opposite of "parti" since the former can mean "leave behind" and "parti" can mean "take possession of" (though in French for instance I think it also means "leaving").
Judging by Websters this could read: "fire leaves behind [the home] that the ancestors took". However then I don't think "nefai" can be "abominable". It could translate to "notfire", though. Anyway, I think if it is "dying abominable" it should read more like "dying like a mortal". I'm going to evaluate this to "dying". As opposed to some more sophisticated form of fading existence.
-- I should clean this up tomorrow --

I take a shot at interpretation:
Quote:

That we don't die by the fire, for eternity; re-build our home, the one our ancestors payed for [with their blood]. (2x)
That the memory of the astral body doesn't die by the fire, for eternity.
The memory of the astral body dies [when the] fire leaves behind what the ancestors took.
That we don't die by the fire, for eternity!
Re-build our home, not..for eternity
Re-build our home, that the ancestors payed for, so that we won't die and fall apart, by the fire.
The ancestors died and the fire left nothing behind.

Yes, I see the contradiction here...but must stop now. For real!

Wow Abraxas, I'm impressed by the progress you made there, you need to link up with Amandel, she had the beginnings of an interpretation as well. Something about not being remembered after death I think she said.

Wow, great work everybody!
Sorry for missing this time, I'm actually checking this board at work, and my chef is lurking everywhere Smile

Anyway, the text recalls me at madeup languages used in songs of Yoko Kanno (she wrote songs for Macross Plus, Lodoss and Escaflowne). Especially "nefai".

I haven't got recently no emails from the old man, neither from Abie. I hope, they aren't disappointed in my disactivity. I will write them again, so I could help in some ways.

P.S. OK, this post of mine was perhaps the most pointless one I even wrote in uF Smile

email from Abie with code string

Already mentioned "Mega Work" to Abraxas and whlle it's fun to collaborate I'm leaving the song alone, at least until the password Book Name is cracked. Now, this mail just came:
Quote:
Abie Thetime to me
I intercepted another message today. Whoever sent it was able to suppress their address!
I'm not sure what it means and I'm not sure why they sent it to poor Tylean.
There was a file attached, but it seemed to be blank...so I'm searching it for hidden meaning.
Can you make anything out of this?
