The only active volcanos in the northern part of Europe is found on Iceland.

That works.

What time of year is it in the books? With it being hot and summery in Egypt that would seem to say it's late/early in the year....November, December, or January.

And before anybody starts asking me the obvious question, seasons are opposite on the other side of the equator.

EDIT: Never mind, Egypt's above the equator...though it is in the Tropical belt (between the tropic of cancer and the tropic of capricorn).

I just want to say that even though bluedawg's post are really long they are written really well. While I think that Belgrade might house the next clue I still think that the lunar or solar eclipse, which are each happening in June, will be the black circle. The Black Sea might work too, hmmm. I don't know, they are both good ideas.

P.S. I think that juno or mint is the code for book four but i'm not sure yet.

I agree. The Black Sea fits pretty much all circumstances.

I think it is juno, mint wouldn't work because since none of the other were clues so it would make sense it would just be a word. Juno is the queen of the gods and the goddess of marriage, love and light, the most likely power. which means ginji has won our little competition. I am willing to trade him one card he needs for free. But, I will solve the next book clue first.

Chapters link to Black Circle

frozen land???...hummmm.

That link is either wrong or unavailible. It's nots working for me. Can you recheck the link?

Edit: shortened url -sapagoo

I got an error the first time, too. But I then searched for Black Circle, got the generic preview summary, and then went back to pimpinmidget's link, and saw this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The hunt for the 39 Clues leads Amy and Dan to their most treacherous destination yet?a frozen land of Cahill secrets and betrayals. With danger chasing close behind, the siblings must track down one of history?s greatest lost treasures. Governments were toppled and rulers were killed during the last attempt to find it. Do Amy and Dan even stand a chance?

Since you can't find that preview by just searching, it's hard to tell if it a real clue or a mistake.

I just figured that out too. Frozen land is significant, but the problem is that I can't find this summary on any other bookstore website.

EDIT: Just found this summary at: http://www.amazon.ca/39-Clues-Book-Five-Circle/dp/0545060451

Try the following: Amazon.ca and Audio Editions

With Canadian sites only showing the back of the book, Nova Scotia's Black Circle makes sense.

We only have 1 more video, and 1 more bonus card. It just dawned on me that they've been teasing the location of the next book, and keeping the cover of the book a mystery.
Why would the cover be a secret, unless it was a map of the Book 5 location (Russia)?
OR if it was a symbol of something distinctly Russian.

I present as evidence, exhibit A & exhibit B.

Is the cover a picture of the Russian two-headed eagle?

It's a circle, and it's breaking apart.
