Geeze it takes a while to catch up after missing a few days of Marble Hornet stuff. The music idea seems like the best route to follow so far, rather than the complicated mathematical sequences and such I've seen going around for a while. Moving on. I've decided to explore what we know. I have read all the threads and replies in this section of the forums, so forgive me if I say something that was already disproven, or missed something important

Let's look at what a few key facts that we KNOW so far about Alex,totheark, and SM.
First, we know that at some point, something caused SM to become interested in Alex. Alex had obviously been traumatized by the SM sightings and his constant stalking. Audio is deliberately cut off in certain clips, and that audio and/or video distortions appear when SM is nearby (though there are exceptions). Totheark has access to Alex's footage, and also has information regarding SM and his objective. Alex moved due to psychological reasons, and possibly to try and get away from SM.

Now from here we can start making hypothesis. First, from SM folklore (if we are to assume that this really is SM and not just a character based on the look) we know that SM appears before the disappearances of one or many children. People who have photographed SM went missing at one point or another after the picture with SM was taken. So we can assume (if we accept that this is a true SM) that Alex witnessed SM with children, so SM must get rid of Alex to get rid of the trail so to speak. In regards to the cut off audio, lets assume that Alex has cut out the audio. Audio would then have to have some sort of negative effect which can cause anyone to hear it experience something (possibly hypnotism of sorts?) Visual tearing we can associate with SM and it's powers.

Totheark is obviously an interesting character, lets explore him/her/it a little. First what is most obvious is the name, well username rather. Totheark for, what that majority has interpreted, means to the ark. Now let's look at the word ark. Obviously we compare this to Noah's Ark, which can be interpreted as sanctuary for a coming disaster, or danger. (Someone mentioned how Moses came on an ark, but due to lack of knowledge I'm disregarding it, but that doesn't mean to ignore it). His matter of speech is interesting, and seems to be as unhuman (Inhuman? Dishuman, idk you get the idea, haha) as possible, almost robotic. We can either assume this is a psychologically troubled person (Alex?) or maybe something otherworldly trying to communicate some sort of fact to us through its best of abilities. We should realize an important fact that arises from totheark's response to video 13. There arises a number of possibilities each with significance. One possibility, which may be the largest, is that totheark is Alex. Another possibility is that the new footage is being filmed by a third party. The last possibility is that J. does not have all the tapes, that is to say that Alex may have given some of the videos to someone else, (Possibly Brian?).

I'll write more later, I've been typing this on and off for a while but I still have some more to say. Right now we should take a step back, and look at what we actually know, because as of right now we're just sort of fumbling around with no concrete clues or evidence

Isn't it strange that the codes in TTA's files haven't been cracked yet? SA has lots of people who live for that stuff and I reckon UF has its share too.

Nah, if you look closely, you can see what looks like some kind of laceration on his right eyebrow, going all the way to his forehead.

That said, that doesn't necessarily mean that all that that blood is his, nor is there any clear indication as to what caused it.

You know, for someone that videotaped every god damn second of his life, there seems to be a lot of important events that are glossed over.

I was walking home yesterday (about 5ish) when i looked down and saw my shadow looked a lot like SM.... long, long arms, thin body, ect... my point is, what is SM isn't a solid form, we know he changes shape and is supposedly a shape shifter.... we also know he usually targets children. what if the reason why he is after alex is because, for some reason or another, he needs a body.... in entry 14, SM comes into Alex's room, then disappears.... the next shot we see is with alex, with blood on his face, neither looking in pain or very frightened....he seems just, different..... what if this is when SM takes over his body? we know Alex just moves away, never really to be heard from again.... what if totheark's responses are actually alex, somehow communicated through the internet, to get to us, using mostly electronic means (the flashing lights, possible binary codes, ect) and memories(missing audio, watching J get tapes, ect) as a way to communicate to us...

idk, this may be just a stupid idea, but maybe someone can take it and run with it.

The problem with that, though, is that we don't know. What is there that's canonical about Slender Man? Not a damn thing. I mean, outside of all this, Slender Man is just something that popped up on SA a few months ago, and then someone with a camera and some creativity took it and ran with it.

Really, the only things that we know are what we see from J's entries and whatever we decode from totheark's.
