The point is, cut him some slack - if you were running the show, got stressed out, needed a few days to unwind, work on the plot and get your head straight, wouldn't you want everyone to be understanding? That said.. where are the !@#!@# updates?! I'm bored here, dude. You're my personal entertainment slave, post Entries and creepy crypto-videos, now.

Thank you very much. =P

Then he could have said "Taking a break" or something on Twitter..I would buy that o.o and leave him alone....

I was being sarcastic, but my point remains. If he said taking a break, he breaks the fourth wall, which is a no-no. It's not his turn, it's TTA's turn. So if he said taking a break, thats fine, he's on a break, TTA should still post. If TTA "takes a break" too, then it proves they're the same dude behind the mask and that kinda ruins the magic.

The point of my post was this - everyone needs to chill out a bit.

EDIT: Messed up the quote and put my response in it lol

The story is moving much faster than it was back during Entry 15 or so. Now the stakes are being raised. Like in other forms for stories where things pick up quicker and quicker until the climax. I mean, this story has to pick up at some point and start to get quicker and quicker. This seems to me like the point where things would pick up some. We shouldn't have to go back to waiting two weeks for an update.

i don't see why it HAS to get quicker and quicker >_>

though if i had to guess, i'd say the break was a)video editing or b)OOG concerns

On an OOG level, I think we need to be prepared for MH to be slow for the next month and a half or so, at least. These guys are college students, right? We've got finals coming up (and if these guys are film or other fine arts students, final projects, which might be what they're focusing on now instead of MH), and then I'm sure people are going to be busy over the holidays.

(Okay, I'm secretly hoping that the lag right now is because the creators are preparing stuff in advance to post over a time in which they'll be busy, but that's probably wishful thinking on my part.)

As much as I would HATE that, it wouldn't be a shocker.

I have heard a lot of banter back and forth about people working for/with SM, and there is somthing that bothers me about that. Why would a creature like SM need a servant or minion? Watching the videos I can come to only one conclusion. He doesn't, SM seems perfectly fine wandering when and where he wants at his own leisure. If we are some sort of prey or sustenance we need to ask a vexing question. Why would a farmer or hunter use one animal to subvert another? The answer is they would not, they would simply impose their will or skills over the other animals. With that said; we must ask ourselves what is the objective of the other players in the story?

EXACTLY! The theory of minions and brain control didn't make sense to me either.

well

farmers aren't known to go around staring at animals either Razz

and as for our role, our role so far is more entry analysis than anything, so far..

and trying to work out if TTA actually has any meaning behind his videoes

I don't think the relationship between SM and his victims is quite as simple as predator and prey. I think SM's origin, motives and methodology are inscrutable and otherworldly, beyond our comprehension. A human won't have any understanding of him unless for whatever reason he wants them to, in which case the truth will drive that person mad a la Alex, or Logan from JAF.

In short: The Slender Man works in mysterious ways. At least, I feel he's more frightening that way.

The Slender Man mythos is very Lovecraftian in nature. The Old Ones and Outer Gods are malignant beings that wish nothing but ill on humanity... Yet there are people that still worship them – basically for the privilege of dying first when the entire world goes made and creation begins to unravel. While I'm not saying SM is like this (although I like the idea of him being of Nyarlathotep) if the Masked Man serves him there's a good chance its because he's insane and figures that a death an eventual death in servitude is a better end than just being lunch... And that's assuming that the Slender Man doesn't have any motives other than getting a snack.

Alright I can see WILLING servitude. Mind control, however, diminishes any creepiness SM had.

J, if you're monitoring this thread, PLEASE at least Tweet something! Even if it's just "I've been busy lately. Since totheark still hasn't responded, I suppose I'll have to think of something else."

As a side note, maybe he's going to show up with another Entry out of nowhere, without even Twittering anything. That'd be neat.
