 		So J is completely sure that he went to the house only once?


Doesn't he only need to take a glance at entry #18 just to disprove that?
Or did he forget he made the entry at all?

 		Well, with "Return" making things all nice and incredibly creepy, I figure it's time to drag out some of the unsolved mysteries of the TTA tapes. Maybe there's something in there we missed (actually, there almost definitely is). Some select pieces:

"Signal": we still don't know what's up with the bars over "Come Back" at the end. Come back to the locked ("Barred") room, maybe?

"Deluge": There's more to this than "Alex" backwards. Has anyone ever decoded those flashing lights? Maybe it's significant that there are two lights?

"Impurity": "there was m0re..." of what?

"Operator": this is NOT the soundtrack to Entry 10 according to TTA. What video could it possibly be from then?

Operator: the word appears in some form in Operator, Impurity, and Exit. In Exit, the word is jumbled.

S: the undulating S appears in Entry 9 (Tim's shirt), Program, and Advocate. The latter two also contain the binary clock puzzle. The meaning of the code in Program, notably, is still pretty enigmatic.

Finally, TTA seems to have a thing for splitting up words and phrases into four ("Rat He Ore Top," "Ble Ed Mo Re"). Anyone thought of associating these with the binary clock in Program?

 		For Signal, could "barred" mean "locked"

Does he mean the notorious upstairs room? Laughing

Also, "bleed more" seems alot more significant now.

Not sure if they're the type to give themselves a label, but that genre is called aggrotech. If you like them, try Psyclon_Nine and Hocico as well. If you like both of those, look the bands up on Last.Fm and go through their related artists. It's a pretty fun genre, and good for background music when you're in a Marble Hornets mood.

 		I'm just saying that wouldn't make bad music for a Marble Hornets trailer.

Anyway, who else thinks that Brian is the most logical choice for totheark, barring the possibility of a Just Another Fool crossover?

A complete theory...
I was reading the thread started by darghe and his complete theory and it got me thinking too. Below is my complete theory based off what I think happened and borrowing from some of his ground work too.

Three years ago Alex begins filming Marble Hornets this action draws the attention of Slender Man. At first he stays in the shadows watching from a distance before making himself known by showing up on set. Alex becomes intrigued by this odd man and seeks him out however that curiosity soon turns to paranoia and terror as Slender Man starts stalking him.

Alex realizes he's losing large swaths of time and begins taping himself to keep a record; Slender Man can erase his memories but only seems to be able to distort his tapes. Leaving at least a clue as to what happened in the missing time and alerting Alex to the missing time as soon as possible.

Things come to a head and Alex figures out how to stop the stalking. The solution leaves him bloodied but alive, not long after he gives the tapes to Jay. He never intended to destroy them but he knew telling Jay that would make him want to save the tapes, and in a very Ring like move give Slender Man a new target. He makes sure to remove the footage of Jay that is used in Exit from the pile beforehand. [I believe Exit was Alex trying to prove it was just the rest of the crew playing tricks on him so he runs back to see if Jay really is getting the batteries or not.]

However things don't work out, Jay doesn't watch the tapes but files them away. Alex is still haunted (either psychologically or physically) by Slender Man and for three years gets pushed way past the brink of sanity. He sees his chance to end it when Jay starts posting the videos he gave him three years prior. The plan he had set into motion three years ago is finally now begun.

As for why Jay decided to watch the videos three years later. We know (IG) he was reading the SA forums and the talk of Slender Man triggered his memory of having the tapes. Based off of Entry #17 we know he had been present when Slender Man was, and that his memory had been wiped. The SA posts trigged something that made him want to relook at those tapes, and open Pandora's box on himself.

Alex dawns the persona of ToTheArk and begins to guide Jay with his cryptic video responses. All the while using Jay as bait to draw out Slender Man, in the three years since the end of Marble Hornets and current Alex has figured out a way to stop Slender Mans memory erasing, though his solution may be insanity itself.

 		Nice theory. The only thing that doesn't explain, though, is why The Mask has teleportation ability, something SM had in previous vids.

When does he teleport? In Entry #19 he's not teleporting around the video is just edited in such a way to make it look like it. If you look at Jay every time Mask moves Jay is laying in a different position.

 		You sure it's been edited (in game)? If so, who edited it? J for dramatic impact or something? It just doesn't seem like it was. Especially since the time lost afterwards (3 hours) plays into it so much.

It was edited by Jay himself. I'm sure however long Mask loomed over him was not that interesting to watch, so he cut it down to the three positions he loomed in. Also watching him switch positions or creep over towards Jay to sit next to the bed for a few just kind of cuts the creep factor down a bit. Jay also says he walks back in and falls to sleep but doesn't show us that.

I don't know. Before Masky shows up, the cuts are fade to black/fade from black, but while Masky is there, the cuts are immediate, which makes me think they're not meant to be read as cuts J put in himself, but rather distortion, or edits that were already made (by Masky?) before J looked at/used the video.
