Exactly. This goes back to the theory that Masky, TTA, and SM are not necessarily evil; they have never been shown to be outright violent or threatening. Sure, they're High Octane Nightmare Fuel, but as far as we know all the actors are suffering from chronic insomnia or mental issues and have done all the harm to themselves. In Donnie Darko, Frank the Bunnie was just a messenger - maybe TTA, Masky, and/or SM are similar.

28 days... 6 hours... 42 minutes... 12 seconds. That... is when the world... will end.

Hmm, maybe but when the person gets pulled around a corner itīs more like "HEARK", you know, when the rake hits the throat a little from the side...

Has anyone seen the sequel to Donnie Darko (canīt remember the name)?

You mean, S. Darko starring Daveigh Chase (i.e., Samara form The Ring)? I own it but I can't bring myself to watch it knowing that there's no conceivable way its any good. Smile

I don't really find the time loop theory that plausible, to be honest. I think the similarities are more of a thematic thing.

Good stories are told in cycles (think of the repeating stories of the star wars trilogies, for example), and I think what they're doing here is more storytelling. They're using a common thematic element of stories going in cycles, and they're also letting us see firsthand what happened to Alex through Jay's eyes.

Essentially we get to experience the story from two different points of view, and we get the best of both worlds; our view through Alex's eyes is confusing, out of sequence, and missing huge patches, because we experience it indirectly. Jay's story, we're experiencing it directly, much more sequentially, and with fewer gaps (Jay's memory lapses notwithstanding).

That aside, I think the red thing is a pretty lame 'tower', the thing looks like it's barely two stories tall. But at the same time, it was mentioned early on for apparently no reason, and never spoken of again, so if it's not somehow significant, it would be sloppy storytelling. My first instinct (right before I thought of the red thing) was that the tower referred to a water tower of some kind, because I could swear there was a water tower in the background of one of TTA's tapes, but that was apparently my imagination.

The only thing I can think of that might stand in the way of Kevrock's theory (which I think is awesome btw), is that if Masky=TTA=Alex, then Return included SM and J, both being filmed by TTA.

If J became SM to Alex, how could he, as TTA, comprehend both?

That is my point exactly! He couldn't comprehend it in any sense of comprehension we normally understand. Remember, SM sometimes doesn't appear on tape, so who know what TTA was seeing when he recorded Return. Maybe he just saw J in the corner?

Dont' mean to be a jerk, but this has been addressed multiple times: there's no concrete evidence that anyone in 12 is reacting to SM except for Alex. The "What is he doing?" line by Sarah could just as easily be applied to Alex as to SM.

Don't worry, you're not being a jerk. You make a good point.

what about alex suddenly stopping an moving in entry 7?

i realise that there's no 100% given evidence of SM being seen, but it's a hella lot more likely than him being invis to the naked eye..

Well, way back in entry #2, Alex informs us that he saw someone in a suit while he was walking his dog, THEN he took the camera back to investigate. IMO, anyone out on the side of the road in the dark by some trees wearing a suit is SM. Just because we only see him through a lens, doesn't mean that the characters can't.

I love Tweetdeck Wink

A lot of people are thinking "the tower" could be the red tower both Alex and I saw during Entry #5. That's the most solid lead so far. 1 minute ago from web

A Poem

Hey Guys!!

I had to write a short poem for english class and it kinda relates to slenderman so i'd figure i would share it with you guys. It goes like this:

I see him
He needs to complete his puzzle within
He feeds, he feeds, he feeds
He needs, he needs, he needs

Do not cry
Do not pout
For when those tears dry
there's only one way out
BANG.

What do you guys think?
