Slender Man seems to only hunt people who have gotten some kind of visual record of him, like a video or pictures. It seems to me that that means Slender Man does not want to be on film if he can help it, so if Alex is always on film, Slender Man would have to willingly be on film in order to get to him.

Just a thought.

I sent him a message asking about the slash boxes, perhaps that is how to "untap" it.

About his blackouts he's answered.

I have been losing track of time often. I'm guessing it's due to the amount of time I've been taking for looking through the tapes.

2 possibilities here. Our boy J is suffering from mental exhaustion or possibly has split personalities.

To clarify I sent a reply asking when he regains consciousness has he ever been in a different place than he lost it or has his clothes been in a different condition than before.(stained, ripped etc)

personally i figure him being affected by SM[either directly or just by looking through all the tapes] is more likely thn split personas..

I think that Slender Man may be indirectly effecting J. Not to say that Slender Man is stalking him (yet), but perhaps seeing him so closely in the tapes is having a negative impact on J. Most people that encounter Slender Man usually suffer some sort of mental illness afterward. Perhaps observing him so closely in the tapes counts as some sort of pseudo-encounter, making J feel ill and paranoid. Who knows? Maybe he's just going nuts from watching the hundreds of tapes so obsessively...

I think its pretty obvious that after posting a video, J blacks out, posts the cryptic ass videos under the name of totheark while under the influence of slender man, then wakes up feeling sick.

It could be possible that J is being manipulated by Slender Man. One of Slender Man's powers seems to be hypnosis.

we have seen nothing of J in the videos, so physically it could be him.

episode 5[and him saying he's J] could be explained off as rationalization, his mind passing off as someone who was close to him[his friend, J]

the tapes being in his possession, apparently lost his compulsion to film himself
might re-emerge after discovering more of "his" past[spec]

would indicate finding and editing sounds out of videoes before J watches
such a thing would require tta to know how to distinguish the tapes or a lot of searching through them, and knowing what to remove

Just read this thread, and saw the entries. A good question for J might be, what does he know about the current status of the other actors. They were in the woods with Alex, who is to say did not become targets themselves?

I made this comment earlier but no1 seems to have followed up... Has anyone tried crossreferencing the ////// in the operator to the words that are displayed in all the vids to see if there's any significance in letters it does/don't cover?
