I haven't been following the ARG portion of this at all, just the videos and story, but, if it's anything like coming back to the house - Masky is going be there for his 20 dollars.

 		I just went back and watched Entry #9...and also Tim's interview....then I come back and watch #20 again and I ask this...

How come during #9 & #15, Tim is on camera, but he doesn't have that ringing going on in the background, but yet #20, he does...?

We don't know where 17 took place, it's never stated in the video and Jay says he doesn't remember it.

I'm sure there -is- some kind of a connection between the two, but it's hard to say what that could be.

hmm. This has piqued my interest. Being a HUGE Ghost Hunters fan, I know some things about cold spots. The theory goes that when an entity wants to manifest itself, it can draw energy from the surrounding air, resulting in a cold spot. Now, Sm could, theoretically of course, be drawing energy from the air while trying to manifest himself. Anybody else wanna help me out here?

 		The problem with that is that nobody else feels cold. only Jay (in 17) and Tim (in 20). In 17, Alex even asks Jay why he's wearing his coat, and says "I'm comfortable" in regards to the temperature. if something was physically making the air cold, then everyone nearby would feel it to some degree, not just one person.

Well there is a gust of wind in 11. Also more connections would be Tim smoking in 9 and the painting of the forest burning (which I suspect to be a red herring but still) which could be something else (still a stupid theory).

 		Maybe it's just me, but I seem recall the general populace attributing the coldness to whomever Slender Man was currently stalking/affecting. =P

That being said, I'm willing to bet that J had a lot more to do with Slender Man 3 years ago than he, or any of us realize(s).

 		I'm just throwing this out there, but are we sure Masky and SM are on the same side. i'm pretty sure Masky is tim, but what if Masky is a third party in this? remember that SM has always seemed to observe but never interact, even when he was in alex's room, but Masky attacks J and apparently makes J leave with him. and since Masky and SM have never been in the same videos, it could be they have different goals. What do you think?

Well, as a (ashamed) smoker, I can tell you that smoking doesn't warm me up. Also, I think it was for the role. Because he clearly isn't a smoker and he lights it up during the filming. He doesn't get it to light before they cut. Once they start the next take, he lights it up again and still appears to fail.

So either:

A) He doesn't smoke IRL and can't light a cigarette.
B) It is a part of the scene and he stops trying to light it after Alex cuts. I'm more inclined to lean toward this, because if he just wanted a smoke, it would certainly be a faux pa to just light one up in the middle of a scene unless it was called for.
