That thread didn't have the Twitter Watch part added to it until well after this started here. Last time I saw it, it was just called "Entry #21".

I've just been refreshing the Trailhead thread, haha. I'll move to the other one for Twitter stuff I suppose, but I'll keep checking this too since others probably won't.

Yeah, it's just a paved road from the main street all the way to the clearing. He actually showed the road himself in his satellite pic, so it's weird that he said that about the creek.

He posted a picture of the trail fenced off (so he had to walk). It was paved. That is the only road it could be (since it was paved), and that would take him right to the tower's clearing. He wouldn't even have to walk through the woods from what I can tell.
