It took totheark a week to respond:

So, it may be a wait.

Eh, just a thought. Seth was attacked, obviously, and what I think might have happened is he was "whipped" or something by Slender Man (an arm/appendage etc). If he was hit in the face, he could have some major damage.

Some damage he might cover.

wasn't there a hand shadow that appeared near the very end of #22, swooping over alex's face?

what if his face got melted off or all gouged up or something a bit later.
slendy's a patient guy, and that shadow was pretty sinister.

not sure if it's been mentioned before, but it's something that occurred to me after reading squid's post.
