Hey, here's an idea. What if there is a code word and the code word is in the new codes?

as in a key? I've been trying to figure it out as a vignere, no luck yet, but... I haven't been able to figure any of the words out to go by, the last 2 words could be something like "where to!" or "there is!"
Going with the string I found with the 2's are spaces, anyways...

Well, we can construct a small list of words that might possibly be in the code and work from there?

Kill
Murder
Catch
Find
Never
Video

Might be there. Then again, I could be totally off-- which is probably the case.

I'm officially stumped, maybe I need to step back for a bit and then try again when my head clears up, I used to be so good at decoding these things Bang Head

I tried a basic letter-frequency cipher and I might be on to something. From what I have so far, it looks like the number 8 may represent the letter E, 7 could be a T. From there on I'm not sure. But when you sub in the Es and Ts there's a possibility you can decipher the rest and find an anagram, maybe?

The package is required and the person who obtained it has returned home safely.

We will have pics and the new codes soon. Wink

If it's that kind of puzzle, I wish for some reason my grandma was in on this.
She does those all day, and she's super quick at figuring them out.

I guess first would to find the most frequent letters and substitute them for vowels? I don't know, I wish I was better at decoding things.
If anyone has any tips, I'm open.

Hi

I just found this game through a friend whom I have played ARGs with before. I hope I will be able to help. I am currently looking at the code that has stumped him.

EDIT: ok, I'm a dweeb, the 2's are spaces.... please carry on, lol

Okay well this might not help, at all, but I did a frequency analysis on that code, just for time-saving purposes.

The letter's that show up are:
H, I, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, and the number 2.

Besides the 2, V appears the most frequently, followed by P.

It seems like V/P would represent vowels since they show up that frequently, but I don't know if I'm even on the right track.
On the website I used to do this (Again, not entirely sure if it's completely reliable, it had this to say:
"In English, you will have certain letters (E, T) show up more than others (Q, Z)."

Could this message possibly not be in English? E doesn't show up at all...
Just a thought. I'm sorry if I'm totally off-base.

While E is the most often used letter in the English alphabet it is also possible to have a complete sentence without using the letter E at all. In fact someone once wrote a whole book with no E's. Just because it doesn't look like there is a frequency of E's in a sentence does not mean it isn't in English.

I ran it from the numbers, as is. In the sequence, there are:

Thirteen 8s
Ten 7s
Nine 1s, 2s and 9s
Six 3s
Four 4s, 6s and 0s
and One 5.

E is the most common letter in the English language, T is the second most common. Next (Tied) is A/I/N/O/S so I'd guess the 1s, 2s and 9s MUST represent three of those five, I would guess.

From there, you go down the list (Google it) and see where it leaves us. Someone might want to try a simultaneous number analysis for Spanish.

True, true.

Is this a possible start though? I'm starting to become a little obsessed with decoding this; is it worth our time?

Well, the next most common vowel is an A, so there would have to be more of those than whatever came next if there were no E, right?
