New Avatar Movie

Hey, I just saw a trailer for "The Last Airbender" movie. It's an all new M. Night Shyamalan movie. Here's a link:

I want to know what other people think about this.

/EDIT: Moved to V&S -ndemeter

Cartoon as well, the movie scares me. 6th sense was the top of a fairly drastic downhill slide for Mr. M. Night Shyamalan. IMHO.

I just want to know what will be in it. I mean what else is there to do. The series is already finished, nothing else can really happen. Maybe there will be some new story in it.

Its actually going to be a live-action retelling of the cartoon. This is only the first movie in a trilogy. The hubby and kids watched the cartoon religiously and even bought all the seasons when they came out on DVD. I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.

That has the potential to be great, but the probability of it is very low. It definitely can be a great movie, but knowing Hollywood, it will suck. Sad

QFT

I loved the Avatar cartoon, and I love that he's bringing it to live-action, but I fear that I might leave the movie with a disappointed face.
