Alright here's my last advertisement, though I'm thinking of adding Matt's blog in morse code at the bottom.... but that's probably because I'm kind've obsessed about it these past few days. It's still brand shiny new to me. Very Happy

Anyways, since we figured that the Institute's logo has a seven in it and seven victim's died in Dr. Darrell's last experiment the ad reads:

"Remember the 7/Institute. For they and their allies will never rest until their goal is met"

Either way.
Yay, I'm done! I guess I should send my ads to the Institute then.

Edit: I guess I should also put it on Twitter and stuff too, since that was supposed to be the point of this.

Edit2: Okay, same ad now with morse code!

I'm going to try and play the good employee for now, at least on the surface.

Figuring I didn't want to risk the banhammer by creating an official fan page for a "fake" companty, I set up a group for Institute followers: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=101642419315

Feel free to join and sing the praises of Dr. Darrell. Or...not. It's open seaso-I mean, membership. Wink

I like the double-sided advertisement! Took me a minute to see both sides. Very clever!

Obvious

I am going to submit this obvious one Smile It goes without saying how blatent it is. We'll see what happens. The braille text says "Dr. Darrell is a killer. http://nogainswoutpain.wordpress.com" Just so you know, here is an email I sent to Matthew explaining why I didn't have a link:

I posted this on my father-in-law's website (www.buddys-marina.com) as an advertisement. But alas, he made me take it down because he thought it would confuse his customers. I sent an attachment of the "ad" I had there though.

Good Luck with the fight, I'm here for ya!

I'm going to maintain the role of a dedicated employee as well. I haven't done anything too special yet, just embedded the company logo into my Twitter and Facebook avatars. I'll try and change it up a bit later (when I'm not at work) and add a cypher that says "Support Matthew" or something along those lines at the bottom. Similar to what catgirl789 mentioned.

I made a logo for the good guys... you don't have to use it if y'all don't wanna, I just enjoy making logos. Very Happy It's meaning is pretty much to stand for the opposite of The Institute. It still has the "7" to represent those lost in the fire.

Also, I found it quite interesting that the Institute's logo looks like clock hands, pointing to 9:37. I looked it up, along with the name of some of the protagonists, and Google predictably returned a bible passage for "Matthew 9:37" which goes like:

"Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few."

Which kinda sounds like a current description of the project we're on as "Researchers"... The Institute is looking for a good return from their drug, but they are losing scientists quite quickly it seems.

I dunno, just thought it was interesting. Rolling Eyes

I never thought about it that way, now that I do, I can definitely see where you're coming from. And I like the logo a lot! I think we would probably be better served by picking one image and sticking with that, so when people starting seeing the same picture on multiple pages, they'll start to get curious. You should send your logo to Matthew, if you haven't already.

Hey, Matt sent me a direct message on Twitter!

I'm still waiting for the plan, but this seems cool. I don't know what I did to earn his trust so much though.

It does look like pac-man! But it's still cool.

Hello friends!

Firstly, I would like to thank you for all of your hard work in supporting the Institute and advertising it. You've done a great job, but it's not over yet... we must continue to market and bring awareness to the Institute.

Secondly, I have a small announcement. As most of you know, the Institute will be having a "lock-in" beginning tomorrow for the next week or so. This is due to the upcoming FDA approval visits. During this time, no one in the Institute will have access to their e-mail or the Institute's website--we will all be working intensively on Project Dolor.

Your mission during this "down time" is to continue to market the Institute and new and exciting ways. What you are doing now is nothing short of incredible and we at the Institute are incredibly proud of our new team members.

We will come back online on July 29. Thanks for your support thus far, though our greatest challenges are just ahead.

Technically yours,
Gabriel Lorenzen

Looks like the game is on pause for a week or two.

I asked Matthew how he knew Christine, because I was bored and curious, and here's what he said:
Quote:
nogainswoutpainWe go back pretty far. I hired her (right before the 'accident') and we became good friends.

Also when Matt got home he said that the police surrounded his house, so he went to pick up Christine. Now they're going to lie low for a while.

Your totally right courtknee, there is going to be a game pause.

Edit: I mistook what Matt said, here's the quote in case anyone's interested.
Quote:
nogainswoutpainSpread the word to our allies; don't tell our enemies. Dr. Darrell has some serious influence. You and I will be in touch when we return.

My guess is they really didn't think we'd have finished figuring out all of the puzzles so quickly. They already had the information on the site that said (in a very subtle in-game way) that they'd be MIA for a week. They probably assumed we'd still be busy with all the puzzles during that week.

No biggie though. They really did give us a lot of info to keep us busy. We're just too good.

Hopefully when they get back from their little vacation, they'll have another heap of stuff for us to do.
