Hi all. I was followed on Twitter by nogainswoutpain a few days back. I've received several new followers lately that have been Bots, so I didn't follow up on this until now. But I've caught up and sent off an email to be a Test Subject. Looking forward to see what the researchers say about us! Smile

Nice work Deanodon. Now we have a timeframe for whatever happened with Dr. Darrell, what could he have done?

If we're looking to find future messages on the institute web site, there's this which might help:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

However, that could be considered cheating, so I probably wouldn't.

P.S. I think those numbers are minutes. Like on UnFiction, it can take awhile for people to respond.

Nice find Deanodon!

According to the Institute for the Future of Medicine's "temporary" (main?) site, Kyle Lloyd is the director of marketing and archives for the institute. So, given the nature of his position, it's possible that he has more journal entries somewhere and may be posting more in the future, I suppose.

But why leak them to the public like this? Maybe Matthew has succeeded in hacking into the "main" site, which is why the Institute has opened a "temporary" site until they get back their old one. Or I could just be wildly speculating...who knows.

Hey guys! Looks like I'll be jumping on this one. I will read up on where we are when I have a bit more time, but I did take a moment to send in my resume for a position as a researcher. This is what I said:

Quote:
Hello,
I would like to be considered for a position as a researcher at your company. I am a recent University graduate with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a Masters in Philosophy. My doctoral thesis' title was "Ethics in Medicine: A Stepping Stone, or a Stumbling Block?." You can infer from the title the focus of the thesis.

I thank you for the opportunity to work for your organization, and let me know if you need any more information about my qualifications.

Sincerely yours,
Milo Polonicus, Ph.D.

I wanted to give the hint that I might be just a bit unethical(or maybe not, I didn't actually say what my position was. Ha! Very Happy ). Anywho, I hope this turns out to be a good one. It looks promising, though. Wink

Hey, I got a Response-A-Roni(the ARG foll-o-wer's treat! Razz ) Looks like I get to wait while they see if I'm qualified for their little shindig:

Quote:
Dear Mr. Polonicus:

Thank you for your application and resume! We’re extremely pleased that you would like to become a staff member of the Institute for the Future of Medicine.

We will review your resume and respond with our decision as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Suzanne Anderson

Catch y'all later! Wink

New twitter.

You'll never guess who had a blog touting his research two years ago... and it's still up. Rearrange his name. It's Pressing.

Probably both unrelated and irrelevant, but found a new/old blank blog...

Been lurking, applied for Research position, awaiting reply, etc.

I just hope I'm not too late to join!

Also, went looking for a wordpress blog for William Darrell, but only found that old one which Daniel just posted. Confused

Anybody have any luck finding the new blog? I think it's on wordpress (like the rest of them), but I can't seem to guess the username.

I was under the impression that it would be Dr. William Darrell's blog, with "will" in it somewhere and something at the end...I'll keep trying and post if I get something.

The Institute for Future Medicine temporary site http://instituteforfuturemedicine.net/ has been updated.
Quote:
Here's hoping you had a great and safe holiday weekend.

New announcements have been posted to the Employee Portal.

I logged in and found this had been posted:
Quote:
Work for on our vaccination to prevent pain is ongoing. There will be a public meeting and unveiling of the test of the drug in late October. Location searches are ongoing.

Hiring for temporary positions related to Project Dolor is slowing. A few positions remain before we end hiring.

For information relating to the FDA approval visit, click here.

Es importante que todos nosotros detengamos a este persona "Matthew". Si él continúa con sus quejas del Instituto, tendremos muchos problems. Él ya sabe demasiado. Haga lo que sea necesario a hacer callarlo.

If you have an announcement, please let Gabriel Lorenzen know and he will post it for you.

The "click here" takes you here:
Quote:
Please remember that the FDA representative and scientist will be visiting on July 29. We must have things absolutely perfect by then. As such, no Institute staff member may leave during July 21-28. Additionally, we will not be contacting or updating anyone via web outside the Institute during that time in order to ensure all of our focus is on the task at hand.

Thanks for your understanding. This will be the Institute's crowning achievement and we must ensure its success!

–Dr. Will Darrell

So hiring is coming to an end, and things look to be ramping up in the company. Interesting...

No luck on the blog on my end yet.

New tweet from Matthew:
Quote:
"Perhaps rearranging his name will aid our search. Splice and rearrange it and shorten his first and I think we will get the web address."

I messaged the admin asking about the password for the employee portal, got this in reply.

Quote:
All employees have the right to use the employee portal. Currently, you also have the right to use the announcements page there as well. If there are any pages marked "Level I Access", you don't have the necessary permissions to use them.

It is against Institute policy to send any webpage passwords via e-mail, due to various risks and past problems. I can, however, provide you with hints for those passwords.

Password one: This part in the brain always makes me think of jazz musician Thelonious Monk because of their somewhat similar names. Not hypo.

Password two: temperance, silence, order, resolution, frugality, industry, sincerity, justice, moderation, cleanliness, tranquility, chastity, humility

Hope this helps! If you need anything else, please let me know.

Technically yours,
Gabriel Lorenzen
