Stolen from a post by Igpajo on The Matrix Community:

"Hello, and welcome to MetaCortex. Due to an unsually high volume of calls, your call cannot be taken at this time. Please try again later. Thank You."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dave Regenhardt - 202-2335

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey you've reached Dave Regenhardt in HR. Sorry I can't take your call but leave me your name and number and I'll call ya back. If you're calling about your Employee Login info, go ahead and leave me your Employee ID number as well. Thanks."

Beth McConnell - 350-6042

"Hi this is Beth. Sorry I'm not here, but leave me a message and I'll call your right back."
Piano intro from Evanescence song is playing in background.

Marcus Ormond - 202-2294

He sounds as if he's reading the following: "This is Marcus Ormond in R&D at MetaCortex. I'm away from my desk. Leave a message and I'll try to get back to you when I can." Loud Thump. Then very quietly as if talking to himself: "Okay, push pound key."

"Good Day. You've reached Katherine Cunningham. I'm am either on the phone or away from my desk. So please leave your name, your number, as well as the nature of your call, and I'll put you on my to do list. Thanks so much and have a great day.

"This is Phillip Gairden at Paranormal Research Journal. If you're calling about submissions, please e-mail submissionsSPLATparanormaljournal.org. Otherwise, leave me a message, and I'll get back to you. Thank you, bye-bye." Automated guy prompts you to push pound for more options; "to enter you lasermail security code, press 4".

EDIT: Probably fake, but leaving it up here for reference. -- AnthraX101

Do note that we are not sure that that last message is in game, it was only posted to paintover.net, anyone could have created it.

I thought that now that the sites are down, maybe they would be doing something with their voicemails as well, and if Phillip voicemail worked, and, let's say Marcus' didn't - that would be a way to check. However, they are both up.

Phillip's voicemail is handled by lasermail, and k7 is their subsidiary - so we still can't be sure Phillip's number is fake.

Lastly, when PMs saw that we weren't getting anywhere with the "@" sign on "Et tu?", they gave clue(s); same thing with underslept and UH logo. If this number was fake, maybe they would find a way to mention it?

Two things: One is that the number was only revealed in the blog attached to paintover.net - I'm also Beth, remember?! Second thing is that the number was removed late yesterday, along with a couple of other objectionable posts. Caesar was doing his duty, and removing that number seemed to be a signal about something.

Maybe it just means that it wasn't supposed to be revealed yet, but that would suggest that someone was peeking behind the curtain, and we had no indication of that yesterday.

I vote that it's a fake number.

Oh, it was removed? Well, I'd take that as a clue - it's a fake.

So, now that we know that it's a fake, can the mods remove my post that started this (so as to not overcrowd an "Interaction" thread with extraneous stuff?)

Don't consider it stolen. Just spreading the info. Thanks for giving credit though. I'm in Seattle so it costs me nothing to make those calls.
