On a side note, Abby has posted that there are possibilities to get into Survivor Command, but I'm not sure I want in.
Reason being there may be roles that people outside the survivor command need to play to advance the plot. For instance ChildrenofZ might be more willing to speak with someone who's not in survivor command, etc.

I tweeted at Sotpyrk that I wanted to know ... he replied:

think we can take that as meaning it's KJ on the card and not XJ ?

K= Kryptos?
ETA: Maybe the KJ tells us that the alphabet for the keyed vinegre is backwards?

Is K a person we're overlooking maybe? "Someone's past"? K = someone?

My brain is fried. All I can think about now is the inevitability that somehow, a grilled cheese sandwich will eventually be a major plot point.
Why does everything taste purple?
EDIT: Could "K" refer to "KRF"? Sotpyrk has implied he has access to them, and they must not know something, if he's able to move about them freely.

I have to go to a party. Damnit! (Mind is going: Cipher . . . party . . . cipher . . . party . . . knowing it'll probably be cracked when I get back.)
Anyway: my two cents is that I think it may be a simple substitution, rather than Vigenere. The frequency analysis looks good for a shor substituted English text, and there are a number of repeated letter combinations.
So try using standard cryptanalysis. Try out a few cribs -- guesses at words. The first sentence is three words, so to be a sentence the second word is likely to be "is". One of the three leter words is likely to be "the" (though not OXM - it would produce an unlikely HT combination later on.)
Good luck!

i have a solution to your cipher (sorry, i can't help myself when a thread goes on too long with something being unsolved, even when I'm not playing the game itself)

Dastardly!
It was easily reverse-engineered with a standard Vigenere cipher if we had assumed the first sentence was "Freedom is coming"
I guess we went too deeply into it.
Thanks for solve, Mysterious posterperson.
