Yeah really! Was planning on calling houston to ask them if KJ had meant anything prior to this getting cracked. Will probably still call to see if I can get any more info out of them in regards to KJ.

It was easily reverse-engineered with a standard Vigenere cipher if we had assumed the first sentence was "Freedom is coming"

I guess we went too deeply into it.

Thanks for solve, Mysterious posterperson.

I was completely committed to the keyed Vigenere by now...that seemed to make more sense related to Kryptos. Damn these inconsequential clues! Razz

Did you all just instantly follow the new Twitter? Or did they follow it without knowing about the game? Or just more players that solved it already?

KJantinwo was following me for a while and I followed them back, assuming they were another person following the game.

But I quit following them about a week ago because his/her viewpoint was a little too extreme for me. I even briefly considered that he might be part of the game itself, but I concluded that he was just a standard paranoid nutjob.

Major D'oh! on my part. *headdesk* *facepalm*

I posted that earlier and I even did what cather did, but I stopped after "wokj", because I thought the key had to make some kind of sense! Laughing
I guess she was right, because after coming that close I was going somewhere else (keyed Vig) and wasn't likely to return on this path.
Note for the future: Vig keys can be any kind of meaningless jumble!

That's ironic. I did the very same thing. I was thinking "wokj.... that makes no sense!" and gave up.

Yeah, I already forgot about the "nonsense" I produced by the time Toasty found the KJ...

I guess this was another hint: http://twitter.com/#search?q=krfgroup (KJ is first result at the time of this writing and, more importantly, since yesterday)

Not sure of the current relevance but on the background on KJ's twitter the flags bear a mere 48 stars.

Well, KJ's Twitter updates seem to tell a story, combined with that deciphered message. It seems that he worked for the KRFGroup and had some secret, which TC/Sotpyrk (perhaps playing on his anti-NWO paranoia) tricked him into handing over.

Combining the narratives of KJ and Nash's twitters, I've a worrying theory, and posted this question to Abby:

My greatest worry regards a claim that James Nash made earlier: that "An early version of #Z1 was first released in 1983". The implication seems to be that someone trialed Z1 for some purpose then. He's also claimed that "The #Z1 virus is a man made pathogen that started life as a supposed inoculation against the #Ebola Zaire virus" -- and some of us have taken this to mean that a phramaceutical group planned to deliberately release Z1 in order to profit from treatment and vaccination. So what did the KRFGroup know all that time ago? -- what did it know that has caused Z1 to be released again now? Abby, did KRF or one of its associates *create* Z1?

Very Cool move to bump ZT onto it's own forum to open various, relevant threads. Thank Y'all Mods.

Think you might not be straying too far from the truth on this one. Coupled with Sotpyrks claim of "You will all pay the price for someone's past." could very well be referring that.

Check this out. If you put on a rant, even in jest, it gets noticed.
