PM looking for help in Seattle

I'm still in the planning phases of my first ARG. I have most of the storyline and character fleshed out as well as a good number of the interactions with the players. I would say that I'm about 70% done with it, however I've come to the realization that I need help and I can't pull this off on my own.

I've attempted working with people long distance before (over the phone, using IM, e-mails, etc) but that doesn't really work for me. I need face to face discussion, to sit down with someone and work out the details.

So, that said, I'm interested in finding someone in the Seattle area (I live in Renton) that would be willing to work together to finish this ARG up and possible work on the next one together.

Video editing skills would be awesome, but not required. Other than that, I just need a creative open-minded individual that can meet once or twice every couple of weeks for a few hours to go over details and help me straighten this out and actually run the ARG. Smile

Congrats on post #42! Cool

I doubt I could really help since I don't live in the Seattle area (I could always give it a try, though) but I do think there are a couple great uFers in the Seattle area. Best of luck with your project!

I would be interested in following up with the OP at a later time. I'd like to get perspective on having all the PM's in one area/location.

Would that be a good idea due to face-to-face meetings ability like thegreatpablo is suggesting or would it somehow hurt the reach of the project since the PM's would now have to go outside their circle to accomodate the player base with drops and such?

I'm in the Seattle area.
Edit:
Doh. OK, I realized I haven't poasted on here forever, so I have nothing to recommend me.

Name's Eleri, have been mostly active in the Myst community for years, was the Chair for last years Mysterium convention, I'm the Events lead for this year. Co-created the Everywhere Uru game, co-created the Uru Demo CD, developed a tabletop version of Ahyoheek, and the game What Would Atrus Build? and live action Marker Missions.

I'm also insane enough to be working on developing a 3-Day ARG...

I had to put this ARG on the shelf due to a number of factors (being laid off, moving, etc) but things are settling down again and I find myself with enough time and energy to start this up again.

I'm still looking for 1 or 2 more people in the area who would be willing to help out in building and launching an ARG that has been in development for some time. Let me know!

A move, huh? Are you still Seattle-based?

I live up in Mountlake Terrace. I don't have a lot of ARG-specific experience, but I have had a lot of roleplaying and game mastering experience that would lend toward a creative enterprise like this. I could easily take on an assistant role

ARG in Seattle

Hi there, I live in King County.

I could lend a hand in plot consulting... But I have little knowledge in HTML. I'd be willing to learn though.
