Memory Book for Dave Szulborski's Son Tyler
*Deadline Extended to May 24*

Edited from Celina63's call for submissions:

Quote:
Tresbien came up with a great idea in chat a few weeks ago - creating a "memory book" for Tyler - stories about his dad from those of us who knew him, played his games, read his books... anything that can help Tyler learn about his dad, taken from him so early in his life.

So, this is a call for submissions to the Memory Book: Photos, impressions, memories, or creative works like artwork or simple puzzles... things you would show or tell Tyler to explain to him WHO his dad was - what he meant to you, the things he said or did that impressed or moved you. Pictures of appearances or personal encounters are especially needed.

Ineffabelle, who is an experienced and gifted scrapbooker, is going to compile the submissions using Scrapblog, and once finished, we'll have the book professionally printed (nighthawk graciously agreed to pay for this) and sent to Marianne and Tyler.

To send in submissions for inclusion in the book: Please email text file attachments and digital images (pngs, jpegs, or gifs) to theineffabelleSPLATgmail.com, with the subject "Dave Memories".

The deadline has been extended to Sunday May 24nd.

Please help spread the word by blogging, twittering, etc about this project!

We also need volunteers to PM people who responded to the main Dave thread and ask them to make a submission to the book. Please email me if you are able to help with this or have any questions at theineffabelleSPLATgmail.com.

Thanks!

Thank you!
I'm working on my submission in Photoshop, but it looks I needed some more time too...

Just sent in my little blurb for this. Terrific idea by the way. I was shocked when I happened to see something about a memorial for him on Twitter. Glad to see we're all banding together to do something great for his son.

I would include some of the work I've done for Dave, but....I won't be letting my own children read anything like that until they are 18 Embarassed

I will write something, however, and hopefully have it up by the deadline. Thank you guys for doing this.

Hi,

Great idea! I'd be happy to contribute, but I'm not actually sure which ARGs and other puzzles he created or contributed to as I am only an infrequent visitor. It may help me and others if someone could give a brief rundown so that we know whether we were involved in any of his works.

Many thanks

I am looking around for the pictures from the first Las Vegas ARGFest and I'd like to contribute those to the book.

Dave Szulborski died - there's a thread about it but it didn't get linked in the first post.

Dave was the creator of a number of ARGs including Chasing the Wish, Urban Hunt, and Monster Hunter Club. He also worked on a number of others, including Art of the Heist and Who Is Benjamin Stove. More than that, he was a great guy who will be very missed.

You can learn more at his website: http://daveszulborski.com/

I'm putting a few things together for the book myself. I was thinking it might be neat to include a few puzzles. After all, what is a memory book for Dave without something like that?

Anyone else doing similar? Perhaps we could make a trail of sorts?

Here is my humble contribution to the Book of Tyler.

http://merzmensch.blogspot.com/2009/05/dave-szulborski-book-for-tyler.html

I don't know, whether other people will be able to see other contributions after the book will be done. Perhaps we should make all them online? What do you think, people?

Thank you, ineffabelle,

I cannot wait to see the book in online version!
Are there some pictures beside of this video?
(Btw, great videos from ARGFest, I'd a feeling, I were there!)
