I set up a thread on some train forums asking if anybody could give us some info about the station.
Can be found here:

Nice one, Luke. Let's hope we get some info. I'm reluctant to let this one go for some reason

Nice find! How did you manage that?
Now, do we have anyone here in Scotland willing to go poking for us?
I'm not sure what it's turned in to now - wikipedia says housing developments. (http://74.125.77.132/search?q=cache:jMyw_zushk8J:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airdrie,_North_Lanarkshire+Boots+factory+in+Airdrie)
Found a nice recent satellite image of the area here though and it doesn't look very house-y: http://www.yourlocalweb.co.uk/north-lanarkshire/rawyards/
...and a picture from after it's closure in 2003: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1227119

I googled "railway siding aerial" and it was a few pages in. Here's the same place on google maps http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1227119.kml&z=13

Excellent find. Bravo!
I suppose until we find a person near Airdrie, we should work on finding a way to contact the person who put up the site. Unless the drop has some contact details in it.
Edit:
Almost certainly unrelated, (beacuse of it's upload date) but googling the factory I found a weird youtube video. http://www.youtube.com/user/bigbootsbigfeet

Odd. Some kind of tribute? Is it still standing I wonder, or did it get demolished in 2005 then? Googling doesn't seem to give that much info.
Here's an address though, just in case someone wants to go hunting
Site Of Former Boots Factory
Motherwell Street
Airdrie
North Lanarkshire
ML6 7HR

nothing turns up about any kind of demolition with some googling.
My guess is, it's still there.

No, it was demolished a while ago, they've built houses and a school in the area now.
Time permitting, I'll look tomorrow since I'm stupidly close to it

Argh, you're a star Would like to be able to put this to rest. I hope something shows, but I guess if there is anything, it'd be pretty hard to find.

You have no idea just how large that site actually is.
Also, do we know of any significant reason that the former factory was chosen? Only thing I can think of is that the creator is an Airdrieonian themself.
Incidentally, I know I've complained about never seeing a drop near me but this one is scary-close.

They must be a resident that lives nearby. I can't think of any other reason that they'd choose such an obscure location.
We also have to deal with the issue that if the drop exists and doesn't have any contact info, we have no way of telling the PM.
Also, does anybody have any idea why the site is called wait 13 seconds?
