ARGFest-o-Con 2009 Portland, OR it seems... This thread brought to you by the phrase "it's never too early to start a thread about next year's ARGFest! why? because it's ARGFest, obviously.".
Discuss.

This works out just about perfectly for me. My brother + family are in Portland and we were talking about visiting them next summer - this seals the deal.
Family Vacation + ARGFest = WIN
I know it's a little early, but if you could, er, let me know about the dates , Spacely, I'd much appreciate it

I wonder when they will have a date. I'm so floored that we have a set date and set sponsor already, with enough time for Space to put it in as announcement in his speechblitz

We have taken a little time off planning to recuperate from this year's pretty intense ARGFest scheduling, but we have also agreed that we'd like to plan a lot of stuff for next year much earlier. We'll probably have a set date not too long from now, but you can pretty much count on it being in july and not the Comicon weekend.

Honestly - I move to a different continent, thinking now's my chance to attend. I'm in SF this year and Boston next. Then 2008's ARGfest is in Boston (next year would have been perfect) and then 2009's is in Portland. Using British measurements that's only a Land's End to John O'Groats away from where I am now, but where I will be then it's more like 20 LE2JOG's. Unless I delay moving somehow...hmmm.
But it will be mine...oh yes, it will be mine.

Any ideas on dates yet? It's getting to be time to figure out my summer...

I'm pretty sure it will be a weekend in July, if that is any help. (but don't hold me to that, it is just what I've heard.) I'm sure SpaceBass will let us know as soon as he can.
I'm planning to spend at least a week there and do some traveling. I have never been to Portland. I want to do some birdwatching and other great stuff. Maybe I'll stay for 2 weeks!

ditto rose... though, likely not more than 1 week for me. looking at the map, it seems now that Portland may actually be the farthest from I've ever been... Even Mexico City where I went a few years ago is closer than Portland tho it's about the same as San Francisco...
anyway, yeah, I too would want to make the most of the trip. With no other big trips planned, I may be able to allocate a full week holiday for it. Nifteh!

Same here, I'm contemplating visting Portland, then go up to Seattle / Vancouver whilst enjoying the surroundings, to make the most out of my visit. Should be nice.

So, wondering, any news on this front yet? Planning under way? Most likely dates to schedule in? Flights are cheaper the earlier they're booked!

As a quick FYI, we are currently working on ARGFest '09 and hope to be able to announce a date within about two weeks.
