OOG (I don't think 42E would post those with those codes without them meaning something!)

Generally, random codes can simply be a means for obfuscation, not necessarily always a code. No harm in trying, but I wouldn't expect there to be an answer...
eta: in every case Smile

I hope there is though. More stuff to find!

On the off chance there are ninjas lurking, just checked my profile settings on FL and it seems that the country code for phone numbers keeps defaulting back to +1 (rather than the +44 needed for the UK) every time I try to update my info.

Just don't wanna miss a call!

Did you guys get a plus one with those tickets? It'd be a shame if it were just for you.

All tickets admit 2.

They also all have the person who requested the ticket's name on it, and a unique ID code, the showtime, the theater address, the ticket "fine print", and an IMAX 3D logo on it.

I might have an open "+1" spot, depending on whether my wife and I can get a hold of our sitter, and if she's available or not.

It's actually good to see them fixing these things.

1) It shows they're reading the forums, which is good.
2) It shows that they're not trying to mislead us, or ignoring our discussions about information that doesn't matter at all - so they're not wasting our time.

I like that.

42E essentially sets the benchmark for professionalism in this sort of thing. They know how to do things right, and are very precise in what they do.

Frankly, it was surprising that there were typos to begin with, but it's nice to see they've gone back to fix them.

And, based on past games, they read these forums A LOT...

On a semi-related note, I noticed yesterday that my profile was incomplete. For those that are not aware, 42E has in the past done things like sending text messages or calling you with recorded messages quite often, so it's not out of bounds to do that here (especially when they're so explicit in asking you whether you want that).

I've got a Fed-Ex to pick up on the way to the office. I suspect it's the wallet replacement that got punked before I could get to it here in Toronto.

Is 42E the company I'd try to get it touch with regarding this phone issue?

Same here. I agree, Ifso.

+1. I started over on SHH! too before migrating over to uF post-TDK. I have fond memories of the Hype, but uF rocks.

Now that we know for sure there's a group event, heh

Couple of things. First, anyone had any luck with the numbers in the light cycle images? I noticed that the original URL had 26 characters, and each of the strings in the images had 12. I tried:
Both combinations as a URL (X+Y.net and Y+X.net)
Both combinations as a file name (png at least)
Both numbers as an access code on zerohour

No luck on any of those.

Second, anyone got any speculations on whether the IMAX screenings will be more than just a clip? Like, might they give stuff away? I could conceivably fly to Toronto for it, but it's a lot of expense and trouble for what might be just a clip that will go online soon anyway. Did 42 give anything away at the IMAX preview screening for Dark Knight?

Thoughts?

Joker cards were given out at the screenings post-finishing whatever task was required to get to said screening. The cards worked as your ticket if I remember correctly.

I just updated my profile on the Flynn Lives site as well and connected it with my Facebook profile.

When I went back to check my time zone setting, it had changed my input of central to San Francisco time. Just a weird thing, I guess.

Anyway, I'm VERY excited for this one. Although I don't live very near the "bit cities", I think it will still be incredible for us living in the middle-of-nowhere Midwest. Razz

I will be heading down from Boston to the NYC event tomorrow (already have a +1). I called the theater to inquire if they would have a bag check service and the lady said that they would, though she seemed a bit out of it, so perhaps someone else can put in another call to see what type of response they get. I plan to take my mic and do interviews in line for our community (2old2play) podcast. If I can get pictures before/after the event, I will do so and post updated via my Twitter Feed (linked below). Can't wait for this to happen!

Technically the cards were assurance that you completed the full scavenger hunt. Some may have skipped the hunt and gone to the theatre - they still got in, but without the card, they had to watch while they let everyone coming later with the cards in first Razz

In other words, don't cheat Smile (no guarantee there will be a hunt like that with this though, given the imax schedules people are reporting)
