Lol, i already have one anyway. I'm REALLY pissed i can't make it to the NY event. I'd KILL to have a Flynn Lives shirt!

They're white on black shirts. With $25 and some time, you could easily make a screen and make them yourself.

The bits on the other hand, those are EXPENSIVE to make. Gotta have the CAD files, pay for machine time...those are way more valuable.

I should have frigging set up my account after Comicon. I didn't think they were going full on ARG at that point. Oh well.

Anyway, I really don't see that preview going online for 2 reasons: 1) they want people to go see Alice for it (Star Wars preview strategy, anyone?), and 2) it's 3D, so you wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.

They'll probably downgrade it and put it up eventually, but for now they'd like to bolster ticket sales for Alice. Heck, since I missed it, I'll probably go catch an IMAX showing next weekend to see it.

Looks like no one here that's in London has reported back yet! What gives?

No clue. I thought we had the two folks, one from London and one from Toronto that were having phone trouble...so perhaps they're just not back yet. NY details will probably be trickling in first.

Sorry for the delay all, I really said all I had to say on Twitter. That said, seeing a Recognizer in 3D is awesome!

Can you describe in detail what you saw in the trailer, please?

Sorry, was taking sympathy calls, writing some string analysis stuff, and posting to Tron Sector.

There's a post over there about the games that Flynn did other than Paranoids.

Hey, 5 games, 5 slots on derezz, anything is possible when the trail is cold. All we've got that's new are those 2 images from the forums and the Encom site. There might be a next step in there somewhere.

I'm VERY unsure about that. Didn't find anything unusual there. Still waiting to hear something on the twitter feed!

NYC event

I was a bit disappointed in this event. At ~9:30 a manager(?) came in to tell us it was just a 2.5 minute preview. There were no reps before hand to welcome us to the screening, and the theater was /maybe/ half-full. That did mean if you were savvy enough, you could ask for extra shirts afterwards. No one had a blacklight there, so we haven't check them yet. There was discussion about people's ticket codes, and it seemed to be resolved that they're simply our profile identifier. LEAVE YOUR CELL IN THE CAR! The retrieval process after the screening was a zoo.

The trailer itself: some footage we've seen before through various routes, and a lot of new material. As mentioned, the identifier was AWESOME in 3D. No story threads revealed that we didn't already know (I assume that if *I* know them just from casual searching, then the rest of you do as well). It was a fast 2 and a half minutes. We tried to get a replay. bu they shoo'd us out. There was one scene with numbers, but only last about a second, so unlikely they're any code. The end linked to disney.com/tron, which seems to be acting oddly, at least on my machine.
