the big indicator is the lack of a marker on Florida...

Didn't know if it would do a whole lot of good but I downloaded and looked over the flash files for both the world map as well as the cardbase and didn't find anything on either of them. Mind you, we all know that flipping over stuff on the cardbase will cause stuff, so this means I probably don't know what I'm doing. Anyone who does care to give it a go?

Edit: I'm now being told that this is considered cheating and is a big no-no. So, my apologies. I didn't know, but I'll know better for the future.

Okay, for ALL the numbers we have, has anybody tries the card trick on all of them?

flipping over the cards causes what kind of stuff? Sorry, this is news to me. Apparently I missed something?

and on a random note:
http://www.flynnlives.com/media/video/0xendgame.aspx
is still active.
But i found it interesting what came up when I tried
http://www.flynnlives.com/media/video/trailer.aspx

not that it amounts to anything, just yielded odd results.

Dunno. I think so though.

Flipping all the cards reveals the binary code sequence on the chest place. Decoding that and flipping over the appropriate cards reveals the hidden secret fake forum.

Just double checked and it seems that you can input them in any order.

So, each thread in the "discussion board" seems to refer to some different aspect of the game, many already done.

Encom International- what's their deal: This one seems to be used to alert us to the encom website. Plus, we get the newspaper article. So, we get a bit of backstory. I think that this might be a hint that we shouldn't give up on the encom site just yet.

Check this out: this thread refers to the creation of the bits that were sent out. Seems more to acknowledge that they were behind sending them out than anything else.

I look gooooooood: shows off the flynn lives t-shirt. This, of course, had just been spread to the world via the scavenger hunt, and before that the comicon. Another thread seemingly there to show off some of the cool gear they have.

Flynn's arcade rocked in a major way: This one describes a gathering at Flynn's Arcade- I assume from SDCC. Reference obvious. However, we also see some interesting images. Space paranoids sign is only half lit- a clue? Also, one picture of poeple holding a blacklight up to a FlynnLives poster. Has anything actually showed up via blacklight in this game yet?

Game on!: holding an event to honor Kevin Flynn- I'd guess this must have been the comicon or the recent scavenger hunt.

Is someone messing with me/ok it's no coincidence, they're light cycles: Source of the lightcycle pics. They all seem to be freaked out about it and give out the URLs. They discuss analyzing the URLs and conclude that they are randomly generated. A hint to us?

Two decades no slowing down: talking about Flynn....possible emphasis on relying on GPS's?

Hitting the reset button: seems to be more an acknowledgement of the site itself being up than anything else.

Has anyone attempted to email the programmer who wrote the Zero Hour clock feature? I found it when I was monitoring the page for changes, as I was waiting for Raleigh to go "live." I don't want to put the poor guy's email out (you can find it easily, if you want to) but was considering shooting him an email.

My guess is, he'll completely ignore as he's likely signed an NDA with 42 Entertainment.

For what it is worth, I've emailed: registrationSPLATflynnlives.com and privacySPLATflynnlives.com. privacySPLATflynnlives.com was a bounce back, but registrationSPLATflynnlives.com went through. Again, doubtful anything will come of it.

I'm brand new to the ARG thing, but am really enjoying this. Any pointers anyone can provide regarding how I can pitch in would be appreciated. I received the Raleigh, North Carolina "package" from the Zero Hour event. Here is a pic of everything lain out:

Also, I was considering breaking open my phone to run a diagnostic history on it, but hate to ruin a bit of my "prize." Do you guys think this would be of any use?

By the way, if anyone reading this has a large Flynn Lives and/or Flynn's Arcade shirt they would consider selling/trading, please let me know, as I'm drooling over these!

Just have one question: if the new trailer's apparantly NOT going to show up online at the derez site, then where else do you think it might premiere at?

Love the new section, btw!

I think best not to fiddle with that phone. In ARGs in the past people have been repeatedly contacted through phones acquired early in the game.

Agreed. Case in point the TDK ARG.
