Wasn't there just the one when you picked-up the phone that couldn't connect due to not including the international codes?


Unfortunately the carriers aren't consistent so this wouldn't really work either,

 		People expecting daily game updates need to wait until September-ish. We're in the early phases guys, when there's a new stage it should be fairly obvious.

I honestly think it going to be way sooner than expected. And considering the TDK stuff started out nearly a year before release, I expect the same.

There will be updates, just not daily.

 		I feel the need to point out to people that while it may be 42E, Tron isn't TDK. Much as I love the movie, I recognise that it simply won't have the large-scale appeal, and I suspect that they won't have the same budget. On the other hand, what does Disney care about spending a little money? I really, really just don't know. All I'm saying is to be wary comparing it to TDK too much mebbe.

 		1) This did start more than a year prior to release (July 09, correct?)

2) Right now our biggest lead is the tidbit about the press conference. Unless AICN somehow mistakenly thought that the real encom (yes, there is a real encom, virginia!) was the ARG entity? But, I doubt that.

3) I know I'm guilty of this, and it's not a major crime, but we should not expect this to play exactly along the timeline of TDK.
TDK was sporadic until 2-3 months before the movie's release. Being at best MAYBE a game a month...
So we can hope for at least one thing every month, right now... I think this "press conference" at "a forthcoming convention" is going to be the start of our next game, and it will apply to the encom site.

Keep your eyes peeled for any mention/rumors of a hush-hush press conference at any upcoming sci/fan/comic cons... I know I am!

Let me clarify...for those searching for a trailer unlock (i.e. derez site) it seems obvious that the trailer is not the next clue we are trying to figure out...which seemed like a huge focus recently. although it may be revealed in the near future.

...maybe the Encom press conference is something...

but as far as the AICN - how did that person hear about the ENCON news conference...is it true or just hype? There is no elaboration on the source of this information...

As far as ARGs - aren't they interactive narratives - the blending of the real world and the fictional world with us experiencing the narrative in the real world based upon our actions.

As far as we can tell we just "experienced" first half of the recent Tron trailer - by finding Flynn's Arcade, discovering the secret room, and the Pit Cell....plus being actual operatives of the Flynn Lives movement (which seems to have a possible role in the movie)

Like some of you are saying - maybe the next steps involve things with uncovering more of the story vs more codes and such for derez unlock.

Btw - I recently tried emailing Alan Bradley and Kevin Flynn @ Encominternational.com to no success...just in case any else tried. I got a standard Message delivery delayed error message.

 		Where is the post of the list of games that scroll through on the Encom International site? I was just going over that, and could have sworn I saw one that wasn't there before..... or I just might not have been paying attention the first time....

 		I saw laser maximum a few days ago.

That said I have two comments. One, it may be because I'm at my work comp not my home comp, but the world map animation looks different. Anyone else see that?

Two, I finally found this line about the plague that people keep talking about. "we're also searching for solutions to the problems that plague future generations. "

Look, I'm sorry but that doesn't say anything about a plague on the children. I think maybe you're reading a tad too much into it. It's a common enough phrase. And the world we saw in the trailer looked perfectly fine and healthy. Plagues in the cyber world, maybe. But I think that reading that much into this line is a bit nuts.

Nope it was there- which I found odd at the time because I didn't think that the game TRON would be in-movie canonical.

 		Tron was a program in the first movie.

Maybe, hypothetically, Flynn creates the video game after the movie, thus keeping it in-canon...
