Tangentially related but if you still haven't seen the trailer yet, you might want to check this out:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1bF4R_6ybY

This is the trailer for the video game tie-in. It shows the new enforcers as well as the lightquad (I don't know what the real name is, but it's the best I can think of)

Looks like it is...ahem...heavily "borrowing" from 2.0, as has been mentioned previously.

Normally I wouldn't post youtube vids here, but I did think people might actually want to see this.

Edit: correction. On slowed viewing, it isn't a lightquad, it's two lightcycles nest to each other. This does make me wonder if I really saw a quad in the actual trailer or if I made the same mistake then. I guess we'll learn soon enough. Well, you still get to see the new enforcer anyway.

no trailer in Albany

Just saying that we went to the IMAX 3D AIW last night in Albany, and I was wearing my Flynn shirt, and they played trailers for Sherk, Dragons, and Toy Story, but no Tron. I was not a happy camper.

There's both IMAX, and there's IMAX 3D. If you go to the IMAX site and look at the theater locater, it'll show you which locations are which.

Sowasred2012 if you can post the first 6 digits of the serial number on the SIM card, we can determine the country of origin and should be able to determine the carrier.

K - so the first six digits are: 892341

Ungh.... quality is fuzzy, and it's of the 3-d so the image is doubled. Can't make out any of the numbers. Thanks fo rthe heads up though. Glowing frisbee championship indeed....How'd you find that anyway?

Disney... If you're listening; The smelly guy making the "squee" noises over there who didn't have 3D glasses when he came in, isn't with us.

I'm not a mod, but I think that this has gone far enough. Why don't we all make a deal. Nobody starts admitting to committing crimes, and nobody else starts throwing names around. We're all in this together, working to get through this game and have a good time. If we can't be friends, let's at least be civil.

Well, if that ICCID is to be believed as standard compliant, it would imply it's from Nigeria - which doesn't seem quite right. US GSM SIM ICCIDs usually begin 8901, 89 being the universal code for 'telecommunications device', and the next few digits should be the country code. The US and much of the Caribbean is 1, but as noted usually is expressed in the ICCID as 01. The country code can be as many as 3 digits, but I wouldn't expect that for phones being used in places like the UK, Canada, Australia, France, or Spain. After those digits would be the carrier code. I have not yet found any semblance of that string in this admittedly dated document:
http://www.itu.int/publ/T-SP-E.118-2008/en
So, I'm hoping maybe Traffic Jammer or the Australian or French drop might chime in with the first part of their ICCID.

Or, possibly, this is all being set up not by 42E but rather by the prince of Nigeria and the winner of the game gets to share his fortune.

After a day to sleep...
So the trailer was pretty cool. But I don't think there was any hidden clues in it.

But man.. that was bad ass! I almost went nuts when i saw Clu...
the movie was pretty good, too.

But the Tron Legacy trailer got more applause than the movie (AIW) did! lmao

Congratulations to Jeff Bridges, 2010 Academy Award Winner for Best Actor in "Crazy Heart"!

Now I wonder if the Tron: Legacy promos will start to advertise him as such? It would seem to be a great and wonderful boost to the Tron franchise to have Mr. Bridges honored as one of the best actors now Smile

That can't possibly be, because I already got the email telling me he was going to share it with me.
