Having driven from Chicago to Toronto, it's not that bad. If it weren't for the Canadian customs pulling me aside for an hour, I'd have made the trip in less than 8 hours.

thebruce, if you ever wind up coming to Chi-town for something, I can give you a couch to sleep on (assuming you're not allergic to cats). Smile

hah well thanks (only slightly allergic, but it's nothing)
Not having a vehicle means flight, bus, or train. There was an ARGfest in Chicago a few years ago which was great. But NYC - dunno about that one. Unless there's something in June so I can attach a short hop to NYC on an extended vacation... =)

I wish I could go to NYCC this year, but they kept changing the date all the time. Looks like they finally settled, but its the weekend I'm getting married. I've tried convincing my fiance that we can get married anytime but comicon only comes once a year, but she won't hear of it.

Speaking of which, I'd like to propose that next event that takes place, we should all meetup for a bite and a beer afterward. At the trailer event, I had a really great time and met a bunch of nice people and would have enjoyed going to nerd out with some friends afterwards. If anyone's in the NY area and wants to hang out at some point, lemme know- I live in Chinatown.

Hi, this is my first post here but I've been following the Flynn Lives ARG since last year. I live in Brazil so I couldn't participate in any of the events but the arcadeaid, though I got all 56 (with a little help) on that one.

So, I never posted before because I never had anything to say that you guys didn't already know. But I'm not sure any of you have realised that one of the flashing dots in the Encom International site seems to be in Peru. It's unlikely they'll be making the infiltration event there, as they're lefting many more important countries out. Remember what happened with Madrid? That would probably repeat in Peru.

Anyway, I might be wrong but I hope I'm right because while no one would participate in Peru, a lot of people wanting to do their part would be hopeless.

Well, you could go. I mean, Peru, Brazil- they're practically next door to each other, right? Wink

I suspect that would play out a bit like Top Gear going from Bolivia to Chile.

A look at the Disney monorails with Tron markings

Wow, that looks pretty cool. Billboard looks neat, too.

It's close but it isn't better than travelling from japan to china. There's a lot of international obstacles, and I'm under 18, what make things even more complicated. Plus, I'm a student and I can't just say "Hey, it was for the sake of an ARG" as an excuse for missing some classes. Finnaly, it's expensive, think the cost of traveling from one coast to another in the USA. Now double it.

Anyway, I would be really glad to participate in one real world event, but it's unlikely to be worth it if it's in Peru. And I'm probably not the only one aware of Flynn Lives here, so even if it was in Brazil but at another city, I would just be in disadvantage (specially as my city is pretty much far from everywhere). Sad

Maybe I'll get that badge, and I'll be able to say that I was not totally outside the ARG, at least.

I missed one earlier, so I have to take it seriously this time...

Nice recovery from Agent Lex from the flounder to a meta-trout.

Did I mention the billboard image? Hm? I laugh at your silly trout attempt! Razz

He didn't impugn your mention of the billboard. Razz

He needs at least a half a trout to make up for the flounder, and it's still the rarer meta variety.
