I just recieved a FedEx package from Flynn Lives.

In it was a plastic model of...something. I can't describe it and I can't recall if I saw it in the original film.

Here's a few pictures of it.

*GASP* IT'S A BIT!!!

THANK YOU!!! I've been wracking my head trying to figure out what it was!!! It's been so long since I've seen the movie (around 4-5 years)!!!
By the way, have you tried the "/zerohour" part with the Flynn Lives website url?

Yeah. I get a Page Cannot Be Found page instead.

I also called the phone number on the package, person who answered sounded like a hindu. Maybe.

Works now. Earlier it wasn't.

Seems like a countdown. If anything, I think it counts down to midnight (hence zero hour). If not, can anyone decipher the placing of the BITs?

It's a binary countdown - each column is a single decimal digit, which explains the rightmost column seemingly acting a little weird. The pairs appear to be (of course) days:hours:minutes:seconds.

Looks like it's set to go off at 1600 GMT next Wednesday, 24th Feb. For the time zone impaired, that's 8am Pacific, 11am Eastern.

No. It's still has me thinking, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. At least I hope so.

It went down like this.

I was asleep when my aunt woke me telling me there was a FedEx guy in front of the house. Since my family usually gets packages from my relatives in the US, I thought it was for them. Then I see it was addressed to me. And then I saw the return address, Flynn Lives.

Were you at ComicCon last year, or play along with the last part of the viral? Did you sign up for anything, or win anything?

Just as curious as you as to who else might receive packages!

Nope. I wish I would've been there. But no. I only signed up at the flynnlives website back during Comic Con. After that, I didn't recieve anything. No emails, no mail. Nothing.

I've recieved a package - I'll post pictures in a moment.

White cardboad cube box with Flynn Lives logo and PO Box sticker. Contents: two kinds of shredded paper, plus a single white strip that has cut-off text on it (probably a mistake and not important, but I'll post pic anyway), an orange-pink 3D plastic star that looks like it was made by a reprap or makerbot. Inside of box has "/zerohour" on it - I tried it after flynnlives.com, found the binary countdown.

Note: the 3d plastic star is the same shape as the red symbol in the binary countdown, as far as I can tell. I believe it's the "1".

Further note: I -was- at Comicon, but I -did not- participate in the arcade game, and as far as I know did not give them any contact info. I'm guessing 42 is just using existing contact info. However, I -did- sign the guestbook at the Alice In Wonderland exhibit that was sharing the building with the arcade.

EDIT: here's a flickr photoset: Flynn Lives Trailhead

Now was that a 'Yes' Bit or a 'No' Bit in the package? I kid - of course it was the more interesting 'No' Very Happy

Question. To those who received a package, was it signature required or jut dropped off at your door?

I signed up on the flynn lives site during Comic-Con, unrelated also on 42 Entertainment with an address. How are they sending these out? With only an e-mail and maybe a first and last name. That sounds impossible, unless they are doing background checks and that's highly unlikely.

The FedEx guy asked for my signature.
