You know the funniest part is I keep imagining this as a real game back in the early 80's...I just keep thinking how my reaction might have been something along the lines of "Oh my god! It's so realistic looking!"

WTH? I've been here all day and didn't even notice the new thread about the new puzzle? Bad form.

Bright side is that at least we finally know what the numbers under those lightcycle images were really all about. I dunno about you folks, but that's been bugging me.

So has anyone tried 2-player yet to see if there are any differences?

Nope. all the same.

although at one point I accidentally 'broke' the game. I had cleared the screen of baddies... and nothing happened... i got very lonely and bored and restarted the game...

I just now remembered where the name Dumont came from!! Yes, it's taken me a while to remember. When Tron was trying to connect with Alan, he was "guarding" the transmission. yes i'm slow....

Dumont is reference within reference. The character in the computer world was an alter ego of Dr. Walter Gibbs, who founded Encom. The real world historical reference though would be to DuMont Television Network, which was a property of the early TV manufacturer DuMont Laboratories, which was founded by Allen B. DuMont. No, his middle name wasn't Bradley, although that would've been funny. I do hope they make a few more technology references in the upcoming film.

Haven't had time to backtrack the thread, but did anyone outside of the US receive the package yet? I'm from Ontario and I finished the 999 kills, etc, within the first hour that it went live.

Ditto. We Ontarians must stick together! Wink

Well I dunno about Ontario, but here in London I just got my pins and stickers Smile

That 89 pin is sweet. I saw Iron Man 2 last night and they had the Tron: Legacy trailer beforehand and I noticed Sam has the 89 logo on the back of his motorcycle helmet in the trailer. It's pretty visible but I never noticed it before because I didn't realize what I was looking at.

I loves that pin.

Thanks! The more I watch the trailer the more I see things I missed the first several times. 42E has done a great job blending the ARG with the film.

So I came home today as the maillady was putting mail into our various mailboxes. Hoping, I asked if there was anything for me. She handed me some garbage from Netflix. Visibly disappointed, I thanked her and started walking away, muttering about how I was really hoping it would be there. Suddenly, she calls me back and says there there was one other thing. Glory of glories- there it is in her hands! I spotted the Flynn Lives from 10 feet away. My heart sailed, I can tell you.

Kinda funny that a AD company can get people like us happy to get mail again in our lives.

Especially someone like me who was never big on snail mail. *Is it odd to take a 5 minute walk at 1am to check the mail since you didn't have time to earlier? (apartment complex) Mine still hasn't shown =( Didn't complete till a few days ago so my fault. lol.

It's exciting to get stuff in the mail for ARGs!

(Still nothing here. I'm starting to get worried, especially now that Londoners are already getting their stuff). Sad
