 		i wonder if the guy in austin still has their phone?

i'm so tempted to drive down to the arcade ufo where they had the last meetup wearing my FL Shirt as soon as i hear news of the game starting.

prob won't be able to drive 3 hours during a lunch break though. dang

 		Heading off to "geek pride" night here in San Diego shortly, with plenty of Flynn Lives gear equipped (t-shirt, badge, pins)... hopefully, I'll bring a few more into the fold tonight. Smile

you could always get a "flat tire" at lunch. my friends call me the master of misdirection. I'd tell my boss that i'm going to be out for the rest of the day, that i just got a flat tire. of course he wouldnt really think i stopped by the deli and picked up a bottle flat tire ale. even if he said, oh yeah, did ya pick up a case, i'd just say, ya know that sounds like a great idea after a day like today.

see and you still haven't said one mistruth.

 		thanks for the suggestion steve - the main prob is that my boss is my dad. so he completely knows that i'm flynn lives core. mainly because i told the whole office of my adventure in San Fran and getting my badge on stage and everything...

we'll see. depending on how busy the office is i may be able to pull a stunt. prob unlikely though

i'm ready for something to happen!

 		San Diego is towards the end of July.

Hopefully it'll resurface sometime in June, I think the phones topping off are just to keep them active.

Are there any other major cons coming up prior to San Diego?

There's E3 in Los Angeles, in mid-June... a video game convention might be an interesting place to have some unusual 'Flynn' activity. I imagine we'll also get our first good look at the video game that'll be connected to the new movie (as I understand it, it's something of a prequel?)

Of course, that would put FOUR major events for the Flynn Lives story on the west coast, in California (Original Flynn's Arcade in SD, Encom Press Conference in SF, possible E3 event in LA, and this year's presumed SDCC event). Seems a little unfair for right-coast people...

 		More precisely, that'd put 4 events in the southwest Pacific coast of the US, all California. However, keep in mind that 1. Hollywood and Disney's major studios are in the L.A. basin of Southern California 2. 42E is also located in Southern California (note the San Diego address of FL). Logistically that means it's a lot easier to hold most of the major events in that region.

I think we'll see more distributed live events like Gridlock Rendezvous or Screen Scene again, maybe another time or two - but I don't think the really big events will be anywhere but California. The only other major location I see hope for is Orlando - Disney has the means to do something there for sure. Might even see a global distributed event at the Disney parks. That would allow for L.A., Orlando, Tokyo, and Paris.

 		i am going to the Video Games Live show playing across the street from E3. I'm probably way off, but I think something could happen there, especially considering E3 itself is an industry-only event, and costs 400 buckaroos to get in, as opposed to $25 plus processing fees for a ticket to VGL

 		Checking in re: the phones - the London phone has had nada happen to it. I don't know if roaming has anything to do with it.

Possibly. Or it could be like Wondercon, just another event held in the area about the same time, but you don't need a pass to get in.
