Well if anyone's going to do "hax0r-blocking" right, it's gonna be them. Wink

I'm almost certain their will be locations in the future, but what's appearing doesn't seem like a list - it looks like a paragraph.

Dare I say: Only time will tell...

These slow reveal countdowns are becoming just as bad as reality tv competition announcements...

That would be interesting to try.

I am starting to think that this is some sort of collection of locations. That really is starting to look like a W next to the YO. There's one near the bottom that could be Seattle, but it's hard to judge.

I did some quick experimentation and the font isn't fixed width, though it's pretty close. I think that's because everything is upper case, very few 'thin' letters there. Even so, there is a clear size difference between things like O and N, though not so much to prevent educated guesses as to what some of the words might be.

I notice they aren't any numbers yet, but places tight might be spelled out location names or addresses. Maybe parks or something. Then again, I could be reading to much into this because of what I think it might be.

If it is cities, I hope Orlando is in the mix! They always go around my big city. 2nd largest in the state.

I'm kind of new to the ARG scene, I learned about it from the Numb3rs episode. Then after that I followed the ARG they had. But I'm writing to say that I got a yellow bit in the mail. I've posted some photo's at Flickr Photo Set

I signed up back in Aug 09 and filled in the 42 Wants Your Information page. Haven't been involed in a ARG except to lurk so I was surprised to get a package.

my guess is that it's a paragraph list that has more than 4 lines giving both locations and what to do. the guess would be furthered that there is a clock at the top giving us the time to be there? maybe just when we'll find out the whole message (my guess is we'll figure this out before the clock if the latter is true)? Wait, my name isn't captain obvious - why am I telling you this?

I'm in Texas and I got a bit (blue neutral) today. Glad this ARG is taking off. It's been a while since Comic Con.

I think Locations have to play some part in it. Even if it's a message, there are too many letter combos which would lend themselves well to city names.

I'd agree with that. We'll have to wait (obviously) to see.

I tend to believe at least 2 lines are city names, and I don't think it's just us imagining things. The font is monospace, so we should be able to calculate the number of letters between the ones already exposed. That same nature of symmetry makes it easier for our brains to recognize the partial text as patterns in words we know. If someone takes the image, puts it in an image editor, overlays a grid, then we can work more out about it. Sadly my system with full Photoshop on it is not available right now.

A little late to the game; but hoping to jump in on the action (I had a blast with Dark Knight).. As of this time; I'd have to place money that those are ALL locations; and will probably become active links once the timer is up.. Probably for a ticket to a theater for a free movie trailer / swag / clues.

But, I could just have my hopes up. Nice to meet everyone and hope 42E does another awesome job!
