Sooooo jealous. What were they made of, btw?

Sorry madopal, I just saw this...

My best guess is some type of plastic. I know a few people have said wood but I know mine isn't, it was very obviously poured into a mold and while sturdy also has some bounce to it on hard surfaces. I will let you figure out what type of plastic though... Wink

well, that was a good 2nd round. We all came out winners, although I have some complaints, but that won't keep me down, you lucky ones in NY and LA will have to dish all the details this weekend. Congrats to all.

Well, for those close to the 5 cities there's another 'round' tomorrow. Sorry I can't be one of them. Hopefully the content will get general release after the lucky ones get to see it first.

Here's my rundown of the San Diego drop-

Lucky for me, the location turned out to be one of the two arcades that I suspected (and positioned myself near). I got there in about 5 minutes, found the Flynn Lives operative playing Galaga, and was handed the phone. But for some reason (adrenaline rush!) I couldn't find the 'contacts' list. Which is ridiculous, in hindsight; looking at the phone now, the main screen displays two options- 'Menu' and 'Contacts' Embarassed

So some fumbling and bumbling took place, a few folks came and went, and then I found the #. Clearly labeled "Call Me'. Called it, and was given step by step directions to where the wallet was hidden. At that point no one else was hanging around, so I took the walk myself. Grabbed the goods, then headed back to the parking lot where I met up with Celina63, on3badmammajama, and some other interested peeps. I dispensed cards, coins, and codes, we entered them online, then went our separate ways =)

Sorry to anyone who showed up quickly but left before the big reveal. I was a bit preoccupied and hanging out near the Flynn guy, who kept telling new arrivals that there was nothing more. Hope no one was too disappointed, and that you'll all come out and have more success at the next event Very Happy

Finally, here are some pictures I took of the loot. I've also got some pics from the Comic-Con event that I never uploaded, so there'll a set of those on the way.

IRC?

I'm not seeing how to getinto the IRC but I've been puzzling these numbers a bit. Here's what I have so far:

If we just count the number of dots and translate them into letters we get:
214124214204214034 BADABDBAB0DBAD0CD

nonsense, obviously.

If we take the binary and turn them into latters of the alphabet, we are liomited to the first 15 letters (unless 0000 is counted as A in which case it's shifted one letter o the left)
0110 - 6 - F
1000 - 8 - H
1111 - 15 - 0
0010 - 2 - B
1100 - 12 - L
1111 - 15 - O
1010 - 10 - J
0010 - 2 - B
1111 - 15 - O
1010 - 10 - J
0000 - 0 - SPACE?
1111 - 15 - O
0110 - 6 - F
0100 - 4 - D
1111 - 15 - O
0000 - 0 - SPACE?
1110 - 14 - N
1111 - 15 - O

FHOBLOJBOJ OFDO NO

In hexadecimal we get:
6 8 F 2 C F A 2 F A 0 F 6 4 F 0 E F

I tried translating this into morse code as well but got a whole load of nonsense- no real way to tell which are dots and which are dashes.

Then I noticed that there are the same number of 4-didget combinations going downward and moving right/left as there are just going left to right. Since there are 18 sets, I moved down each row and would continue the two left over with the first two in the next row. I got:

0110 - 6 - F
1110 - 14 - N
1101 - 13 - M
0010 - 2 - B
1110 - 14 - N
1011 - 11 -K
0010 - 2 - B
0111 - 7 - G
1011 - 11 - K
1011 - 11 - K
0111 - 7 - G
1101 - 13 - M
1010 - 10 - J
1100 - 12 - L
1001 - 9 - I
0010 - 2 - B
0100 - 4 - D
1001 - 9 - I

Or:
F N M B N K B G K K G M J L I B D I

I can find words like FLINN and BLINK but I've reaching my wits end. Next will be going backwards but I dunno if I'm just driving myself crazy over nothing.

Solution to the Zero Hour binary puzzle from 'Al Wichrowski' on the Flynn Lives facebook page:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Think I got it! The flashing light does translate to binary but only count the top 3 characters as a number while using all 4 characters as a break - gives you 34, 16, 51, 50, 32, 07. When you flip the corresponding pictures over on the zero hour website it brings you to a "Discussion Forum".

The link to that forum: http://www.flynnlives.com/discussionforums/

Duh, nevermind, it is a "scripted" set of boards. Any guesses on what this pic might lead to?

Not sure about that image, but there's another newspaper article in a thread there...
(spoilered in case someone hasn't worked their own way into the forums)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The article is:
http://www.flynnlives.com/images/forums/useruploads/bradley.jpg
and speaks of a "Kurt Hardington". If you do a strict Google search with quotes for that name, it currently yields zero results, very rare for just about any name you can imagine. Seems like a good unique keyphrase to seed something with.

Nice, I keep trying to dig into the boards to see if there is anything else. I need to get some sleep (have to wake up in like 5 hours) but can't let this stuff go for the day. Afraid I might miss something. Very Happy
