The only thing I see was pointed out by someone on another forum I frequent:

Quote:
In the part of the story highlighted by the giant arrow something stood out to me. Re Iron Man: "...has battled terrorists, challenged natural disasters and rescued thousands of people around the world..."

I can't think of any natural disasters Iron Man faced in the first movie. Maybe that's a clue as to something in the second?

In looking at the smaller image posted above, the arrow looks to just be highlighting the Iron Man -> Tony Stark connection where the full article is visible. The top part with Buckner and King is conveniently cut off, but the rest is from the board.
I do hope this turns into something bigger though Very Happy

I hope there's an update. The movies coming out in May so it leaves a bit of time for significant updates.

Time for me to get on board here, Stark Industries here I come! (I Hope)

Signed up for Director of Music Technology, since thats where my actual degree as an undergrad lies. Music Performance and a bunch of technology classes mean that for my school I'm on the cutting edge of music tech. Hope that means I can get in!

I was just coming to post that! Drat, beaten. Crying or Very sad
Oh well, here's the image for those of you too lazy to click:

On a separate note, people over on the Superhero Hype! forums have noticed several misspelled words in the first image and think the misspellings might be key to the message... Question

So far Secret and Stark are highlighted in both images. It is difficult to draw any conclusions from the little we have. My hope is that there are more "clues" that will be released. My guess is we will see several clippings with different highlighted words that reveal the message. I might be wrong, but that's the only thing I can guess with the info we have so far. Not much interaction, just, "Hey, here are some images with highlighted words, get pumped!" Lame as far as supposed viral clues go, but who knows, it may take off into something awesome.

Well, J.M. Eddins, the photographer credited to the "Walking on air" image is a Washington Post author, but his one and only article is from May 24, 2009 - "Wind turbines vitalize, divide Texas town"

Eddins - http://www.washingtontimes.com/staff/jm-eddins-jr/
Wind turbines - http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/may/24/wind-turbines-vitalize-divide-texas-town/
His photo gallery - http://gallery.pictopia.com/washtimes/gallery/3206/

haven't found an image matching that on the latest article here though.

Also, the photo looks like pieces have been torn out of where the head of the person in the middle would be... odd

This whole thing is seeming odd and random at the moment. I'm hoping that clears up with more clues...

Taking in what info I remember from Comic-Con and the recently-released Ironman v. Whiplash comic:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think we're just seeing clippings that Whiplash has saved in his Room Full of Crazy. He's got a vendetta against Ironman. If it's like the comic that came out recently, it's due to a raid on his village by Tony that ended up killing his father (who was an inventor). I think these articles will just help us fill in details between the movies re: public reactions, industry fallout, etc. Hope I'm wrong about that, as I want to have a more interactive experience!

And I wish those SINow people would email us again! Wink

For convenience sake, here are the the letters omitted or added in the first article...

Industries-indusries T
Military-Miltary I
Substantial-subtatail N
Trauma-trama- U
Kidnapping-Kiddenapping EN

Possibly UNITED...or UNTIED...more likely united.

Since this is coming back around, let me do a bit of digging. I might find something elsewhere.

,edit. Well, the pic in the bottom appears to be THIS location. Looks close enough to be that. I dug a bit more and haven't found anything to connect the two. Perhaps just a page filler? Dunno. As far as I know, no filming for IR2 took place there. I'll keep looking.

3rd clue via John Favreau's Twitter feed:

Starting to look like I was right about the highlighted words, eh? Cool

So far we have Secret, Stark and Confession...
