Apparently it is since you seem out to prove I'm still trying to sabotage all of this. Well, accuse, anyway.

And you're responding by vehemently denying denying it.

Two sides of the same coin, imo.

Personally, i think diss is more a victim here then a conspirator. His name and information has been plastered numerous places, i watched this unfold on 5/8, and it must suck.

I know i sure as hell wouldnt want it to happen to me.
The PM has done some really dodgy stuff, and pissed ALOT more people off then hes impressed from what i can see at this point.

Very true. Having spoken to diss and many other major players here, I personally think that a person has all the right to complain and rage if you feel your personal privacy was violated. However, in my opinion, he did go a bit far. However, we're all guilty of that.

So, let's see. First, the PMs went too far by posting Diss's information on 4chan. Then, Diss got pissed off and went into rage mode. Nighthawk and I (and many others) dug up the PM's original planning posts, website, and many other things that maybe should've stayed secret. However, we only did this to help ourselves get a better bearing as to what the almost non-existent IG/OOG line is – which is partially the PM's fault. Now, we have people trying to hack into a mail.ru account, we have flamefests, we have arguments. We have one pissed off PM. We have pissed off players. We have confused first time ARGers. And we have one hell of a screwed up game.

Whose fault is it? I think everybody's. It's going to take a miracle to shove this game back on its tracks.

EDIT: So, yeah. What next?

"The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

I felt sympathy for diss at first, but gradually, I came to see what a pretentious tool he is. I mean, he comes on saying what a crappy ARG this is and how he's tired of it and done with it, what does he do? He keeps posting in the thread. Instead of going off and doing something constructive, he keeps posting in this thread.

Yes, posting his info is a dick move. I can't argue with that. But seriously, if you hate this game, stop playing, stop posting, and find something else that you'd rather do.

I didn't know this thread was created for judgment on what I choose to do.

Okay, fine, he might be a pretentious tool. But so are you for calling him one. And so is the PM. And so are we for screwing up the PM's game.

Get my point?

I gave up on the game last week -- but the flamefests have been truly epic! Far more entertaining than the ARG itself. Seeing the PM exposed after HIS threats to the players was sweet! Watching his reaction was better than any ARG. Getting first time ARGers to actually CALL the PM was even funnier.

There really is no recovery possible for the PM and the sponsor at this point. They are better off just cutting and running. My bet is that the sponser is completely in the dark about how badly the PM has botched the ARG.

Just to clarify. Just because hes posting doesnt mean hes playing the game. Im posting and not playing.
And if theres a problem you have with people posting on this thread if it doesnt pertain to the game, you yourself are guilty, as you and a few other guests (nice of you to remain guests eh) have done a sweet job derailing this. And im not saying this im exactly putting it on track, but i dont see how you can jump on here, basically anonymous no less, and rant about how diss is this and that for posting on the internet. God forbid, someone does something wrong on the internet!

Sometimes I wish I didn't have to sleep so I wouldn't keep quoting things from 10 pages ago. I'm still back on page 75 or so, so bear with me.

IMAGINE for a moment you were not raised in the environment of safety with a sense of personal destiny freedom brings.

IMAGINE you were told from and early age what to THINK, what to SAY, what even to WEAR. What would your view towards the conditions of your confinement be?

I ask these questions because for sisters and I destruction of current reality has become our CREATIVE AMBITION. Do not be alarmed for highest value of ours is MATERNAL BEAUTY. "When did we forget this value?" is what the JUNSUI ask.

MATERNAL BEAUTY WILL CRUSH THEM:

Blessed Be,
Junko

Could it be that she is referring to the brainwashing in the so called schools?
What I get fromit is that they were raised in some kind of complex (marble house? NSE? Mount Kosvinsky?) where they were prisoners. Now their ambition is to "destroy the current reality". Does that mean the terrorismthey are practicing, or are they just trying to destroy the original "complex"?

Wtf.

I feel like it's a commentary on society as a whole. We are all essentially told from an early age what to say, think, and wear (sociology 101), and they want change.

Also, something that I've been thinking about for a long time...

Maybe "Junko's" hostility towards people that jeopardize her endeavors is Junko and not Patrick. Maybe it's meant to be a personality trait of hers. People have talked about how her "dark side" might mean that maybe there's more than one side to choose here. I think if it's Patrick simply fucking up, he would've stopped by now, but Junko keeps on threatening forums. Perhaps he's just really eccentric and willing to go to those lengths to give Junko a scary side. There's definitely more than one side to her; she's supposedly the good guy, and yet I found myself having a dream the other night where she kinda scared me shitless.

You know, people keep saying that the PMs are executing this terribly, but an ARG that makes me feel that immersed is pretty goddamn brilliant if you ask me.

Been casually checking up on this every other day or so, looks like things are still the same? Too bad, too.

so um hello people. today i showed this story to some of my friends and in the http://junsui.shineisei.jp/ site we noticed 2 things, that might be worth looking in.
1. if you move your cursor over the plants they shake and emit sounds, but sometimes the sound is different and flowers start to grow.

2. now this ones more interesting. on that same page if you listen carefully you can notice a clicking sound. as if it were Morse code.[/img]

Never noticed the flowers before. Are they new?
Also, the plants make tones. Do they match the tones in the A-T loading animation?

This suggests, I think, the existence of several degrees of "playing" an ARG.

You...
0. Don't know it exists
1. Know it exists (e.g., have heard the name)
2. Are vaguely aware of the general plot, setting, etc. via hearsay and rumor.
3. Have seen an IG website or two, or have read a page or two of the uF thread.
4. Read the uF thread.
5. Follow links from the uF thread to see websites, etc. for yourself.
6. Try to figure out puzzles, codes, etc., or post in the uF thread.
7. Post solves.
8. Interact with IG characters passively (friend on facebook, follow on twitter, etc.)
9. Interact with IG characters actively (send emails, comment on IG blogs, etc.)
10. Act IG creatively (create IG blogs, podcasts, videos, etc.)

I'm playing JJ at about 6, though that may be mostly out of a lack of anything obvious to do.
