"Blessed Be" is a Neopagan expression, which dovetails suggestively with all the talk about maternal beauty and whatnot.

The T-shirt design looks like it's meant to be viewed with red-blue 3D glasses. Anyone have a pair of those?

And this is obviously some kind of code:

The sheer number of symbols suggests it may be one of those super-hard ciphers where there are several possible ciphertext characters for each plaintext letter.

Nobody seems to have mentioned that the royal cypher seen on the men of taste website is also seen at the bottom of the alfa-tsentr website.

Not only is it bad form to charge anything for an ARG, they've priced that shirt at nearly double what every other shirt on that site costs. I sure as hell ain't spending a cent on a game, much less $38.

It's almost like they don't want us to buy it.

I'm sure its only priced that way due to it being an IG clue. That and it's limited to a run of 100. Probably gonna be a hot item once the end of this ARG is determined.
The broadcast that's being posted on random forums/facebook/twitter links everything together as a starting point. Tshirt link gives the google ip, video automatically links to junsui flash app, etc

Wow... disappear for a couple days, and this happens...

I am now even more lost with this game than I was before. What with the poor English, the lack of a clear goal or even a clue on how to figure it out, and the literally nonexistant line between IG and OOG, I'm thinking that I'm gonna have to sit this one out for now. Kind of a bummer because things we're looking really cool...

Anyway, I'm moving out in less than a week, then starting school not too long after that, so I don't think I'd be much help to you guys anyways. Best of luck, and I'll probably keep lurking to see if things get any clearer.

Oh, and P.S: I'm with Nighthawk on watching your steps. People don't like getting hundreds of mysterious emails telling them to be careful. This game looks like it could be really promising, so don't make the PM have to shut it down because OOG people start causing a ruckus. There's something to said for privacy too... As we've already seen, it looks like these guys have no problem with telling everybody who'll listen who you really are.

There has been a new twist in which I and two other people are involved in, which should make things even more complicated.

We are still trying to gather information on it, and determine whether it's IG or OOG/META. Don't want to disclose anything until we're sure.

Stick around; this rollercoaster ride ain't done yet.

Ok.

Alright everyone. I am very into number theory, give me the entire group of letters and numbers so far, you needed someone to crack it, and i have some time. If there is a pattern there, i will find it. I just dont want to go through the trouble of finding all the numbers. Get me the numbers and i can get you the codes.

guys, this is all a fake viral marketing campaign by the russians to lure unsuspecting civilians into taking down the already crippled US economy.
note how they make reference to the matchstick burning the enemy from within and how junko seems to call big advertising companies "the enemy"

very anti-capitalist

OK, buckle up boys, 'cause it's gonna be a bumpy ride!

I and two other people on these forums received the following email:

Quote:
From: Patrick Marckesano
Subject: hello

Guys,

This is Patrick Marckesano, the creator of homeostatic. I am writing you three out of all the people in this insane shit because I am hoping you'll understand me. You're all smart guys and creators in your own way.

I am a complete wreck right now. Really paranoid so bare with me ok? Since 2 days ago I have been in hiding because of what's happened. My employers think that I have had something to do with leaking information to people on net forums. This is more of a deal than you think because these aren't regular bosses. They are extremely POWERFUL movers who don't normal people like me or you get in their way. I am honestly scared shitless and I am not really sure what I can do at this point except lay low. Somehow somewhere one of my friends must have leaked what I was working on at least one person (Leigh in England guy) published some details. My bosses fucking want my head. And so have been reading a lot the last few hours but stuff is going way too fast with seemingly way too much bullshit for me to understand exactly what is happening. Who exactly have you been contacted from as far as the Russians? I really need to know WHO and WHAT they asked.

I am out the door as soon as I rest an hours. I just feel like I need to lay low to clear my head and decide what is next. But if you guys are generous enough to keep a line of communication open with me I would appreciate it. I am not absolutely sure, but I am pretty sure those girls calling themselves Junsui are putting up a huge front.

Best,
Patrick

CREATIVE DIRECTOR, homeostatic

For the record, Patrick Marckesano is once again a VERY REAL PERSON, in the same manner that Leigh whatever-his-name is.

First thing to note is that I received this email at my DLI address, which ONLY appears in one place: the profile page on my blog. I do not use it for any "in game" correspondence. Doesn't appear on my Facebook, my UF profile, nowhere. So you have to aggresively look for it (granted, I'm easy to find, but still).

At first we weren't sure if this was IG or OOG, so I sent the following response:

Quote:
Well, first off, I was one of the people that "discovered" you, and I'm sorry that this is the result. Being a designer myself, I know that it's hard to hide stuff on the 'net once it's out there, especially with things like Google cache and the Internet Archive logging everything in history.

After the discovery and the revelation, I kind of figured this was due to you signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement. I myself have signed many of those in the past, and understand the fear associated with potentially breaching that. But this email sounds to me like you're worried much more than that.

It was not your fault, and I am willing to take responsibility. If you wish for me to talk directly to your superiors in an effort to clear the air and remove any blame you may have, I will be more than happy to do so. Is there any way I can contact them on your behalf?

P.S.: Just for my curiosity, as I'm not sure how much worldly exposure I have myself... How did you get my email address?

Tnx & Rgds...

The reply above was purposely written so that it can go either way: it could be interpreted as IG or OOG.

We got this response:

Quote:
Hello David,

Thank you for trying to understand my situation. It IS definitely much more than any NDA that I am worried about. I don't blame you personally for outing me, but I do admit that I am now leaving everything I know because of it.

When these guys hired me for the first project a couple years back, it seemed like a great opportunity to do things I always wanted to as a designer. They had very specific briefs, but they let me have a ton creative license during IE and development. They actually trusted my expertise, imagine that! The biggest change though came in my work environment. The money and scheduling allowed me to have an amazing freedom with my lifestyle. These people aren't stuffy bureaucrats. They have large wine estates in Bordeaux and residential compounds in Meguro outside Tokyo. Money is just not an object. Once as a bonus just for turning in a rushed mid review, they sent my girlfriend and I to the Monaco GP with a room at the Metropole and said I could stay there and work for the next week! It wasn't until I quit all my other gigs and went to go work for them full time that I started to have any doubts about what I was getting involved in.

This whole affair with the NSE site is beyond my knowledge. I did the design and production on that project many months ago but none of this crazy shit was in the brief. I have ideas about why they're doing what they are but not exactly sure of the scope (hell I don't even know as much as you guys it seems). All I know is that my former employers are not the type of people who will listen to something as rational as an explanation. While they might have treated me well, I now fully realize that I was always a nobody in their world. To them I'm completely expendable. and that's why I am leaving the country today, possibly to a place where they don't have internet. I fucking want nothing more to do with any of this insanity or evil shit. Besides I have other worries to contend with in my own personal life.

You can relate the basics of this to others. I've decided to close the door on it and never look back. In reference to your e-mail that wasn't hard to find at all. Alfa-Tsentr gave it to me in reference to questions they were asking me. They wanted me to forward all mails related to a long listing of addresses. But I had never written to you so there were no mails to forward.

Thanks for reaching out friend. Take care of yourself.

Best,
PM

So, my working theory is that they're are either turning an OOG discovery/revelation in to an IG event, or they planned this from day one (which would be QUITE impressive!).

OK, that... felt... be- *HEAD ASPLODE!*

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Personally, I think that we've got a masterful PM here. He wasn't expecting us to out him; he tried to cover it up on QBN a few months ago, but failed. So, what does he do? He runs with it and blurs the lines some more. They didn't plan this from the beginning, but they sure make it seem like they did.

I'm with redct on this one. That whole exchange was quite different than the contact that we've made so far with other IG characters. It was also rather convenient to get such a large hint to not contact him anymore, haha.

The big question now is where to go from here. This smacks just a little of what was going on with I'm Sorry: potential disturbance to The Curtain, handy explanation to make it IG, and multiple leads with no definite direction to take. It even had the uF IG or OOG conflict (though quite as bad as it was before, thank God). All signs seem to point towards a great, if aggravating, game.
