Isn't this like arguing that if you have a listing in a phone book, someone has the right to tell a bunch of people to make harassing calls to you, or show up at your door? Is it ethical to post an old girlfriend's number in a phony Craigslist ad cause she dared to share it with you?

Yeah, it was probably a bad idea to friend someone he didn't know and let them see his personal info (you can set up permissions to prevent that in fb, btw, though the controls are not exactly user-friendly). That doesn't mean they have a right to encourage lots of people to spam you. I agree that was bad form, whatever I might think the "rules" of an ARG should be.

ARG authors should expect there is going to be some amount of meta hacking going on, and should run as tight a ship as they reasonably can, and beyond that if someone ruins their experience with meta, then that's the players' problem. I tend to think too much meta ruins the experience; but arguing about it (especially throwing personal attacks at each other) ruins it even more.

Let's hope that in the future, the PMs focus on entertaining us and refrain from the level where real people start getting harassed, whether it's dissentience or some guy at a web-hosting company.

I know she psoted an attack message, and people on the other site I post on are saying that the time correlates closely with the suicide bombings.

Coupled with the above, it seems like too much coincidence to ignore...

I was posting this exact same information but I was looking for the twitter that Junko posted that stated AN ATTACK IS COMING. I'm pretty sure it was on twitter, but I can't seem to find it there or on facebook anymore. Perhaps they deleted it because of an actual attack? Very strange.

Still doesnt explain the email, and if alfa-tsentr turns out to be a real Russian paramilitary group then hooooo boy what have we gotten into.

After speaking with the folks in chat I don't think this connects to real life at all.

No terrorist organization is this obvious and this stupid.
