We had the info you posted on your website (and on both forums) long before, it wasn't neccessary to do so. I think you are overreacting way too much. There are always stupid people on 4chan, but they can't do shit (most of the time). I enjoy it very much how the PMs are trying to establish a dark and real atmosphere. It makes everything far more intense. He doesn't care for most of your rules and i appreciate it.
Again, you don't have to buy ANYTHING to partake, right? Most of you didn't buy anything because of an ARG yet, i suppose, so why are you making such a ballyhoo?

imo, nobody should out PMs in ARGs. It's a game. It's supposed to be played. This one was thinking outside the box and broke some internet "rules" about ARGs that nobody ever signed a legal contract to abide by.

OH SHIT an ARG has NEVER been used for marketing before, we are not used to it, let's let everybody know and take away some of the fun because someone posted my public info. It's the internet bro, any information you put up here that isn't protected by privacy settings is fair game for ANYONE, IG or OOG.

Jesus, if I spent all this money on this project to have some dude ruin it almost completely for some small reason has having his PUBLIC info posted, I'd go a little crazy too. Ok, maybe I wouldn't, but I could see this as a reaction some people might have.

i agree whole heartedly with queen. ive read ALL the posts on uF and most of the once on 5/8. i would be pissed off too if i were in diss's situation. but i would add another lock to the door if it were me. *shrug* if this game does fail then its that sucks. but if the PM can pick up from this seemingly giant cluster fuck and learn from the mistakes that have been made then alls the better i say. i hope this game doesnt bottom out becuase this is my first ARG. happened on it from /x/

Spent the past 2 hours or so reading all 47-pages of this, as well as following and reading links, the end result being a minor headache, but it was worth it.

Before I get pounced for what I'm saying -- yes, I am new to unFiction, and somewhat new to ARGing in general. I've only actively participated in one, and I've sat by and spectated three or four. The only one I actively participated in, got recruited into near the end, and then jacked from a nauseous head PM, was the small-scale br1ngforth.

I believe someone posted eons ago, "It doesn't matter if they were selling Anti-Bacterial Soap, I'd keep playing" (or something to that general effect), and I'm with them on this one: despite the odd end-goal of 'unlocking' more garb, judging from what I've read and witnessed myself, this is one of the most visually appealing, and attention-snaring games I've spectated. That having been said, while I have no seniority to speak with, or experience to back me, the distribution of private information as a means of warfare against the players (as done so with Diss) seems only to be fair game.

I've had my information (though maybe not so thoroughly) distributed across several mediums, and it is a hell of a pain to deal with -- the threatening emails, the blocked prank-calls -- but it does die down relatively quickly unless, of course, you somehow wronged the collective army of /b/. Then, well, nice knowing you. Otherwise, the explosive reaction seems a bit unfounded.

So. tl;dr looking forward to moar clooz, less bitchin, and sekc wimminz. Moving on?
