 		I will likely continue to watch this game; normally I would have bought the shirt as I am one of those players who likes to collect little limited edition items from games I play. But I am one of those whiny, butt hurt players that was attacked by the PM for no good reason and the only response to our collective outrage at the PM going beyond the bounds of the game to attack us personally has been to insult us and spread the attacks even further. Call me what you will, as a consumer it was STUPID of the PM to attack ME with no reason. It cost them a consumer, it cost the company myself and any of my friends I get into games like this. It cost that company numerous possible consumers from the uF players who refuse to participate from the actions.

If nothing comes of this I just hope the company in charge realizes that their actions cost their CUSTOMER money. Maybe they will think twice before attacking the players, player characters are fair game, player attacks tend to "escalate" the responses a tad bit further (as about 30 pages of this post shows)

You guys are getting Spoiler diarrhea.


The Spoiler tag is for covering up a solve to a puzzle or information from a book or TV or movie that not everyone has seen yet.

Meta information is not spoiler. If you have nothing in your post about what is behind the curtain (spoiler) then what is the point of covering it up. If we don't know what you are covering up then we have to uncover it to see it. So don't cover it up in the first place.

Emails from characters, new posts from characters on their websites, new website (and how you found it), your speculations, etc. These are not spoilers, folks.

If there is a puzzle and you figure out how to solve it, then give a heads up PUZZLE SOLVE and even a hint or two, and then spoiler just the actual the solve (for the folks who want to try to solve the puzzle themselves).

I think it's simply the amount of grief people are getting for giving meta information is making it so that meta info is on the same level as a puzzle solve for this game. A large number of people are taking offense at players posting meta info so those players are spoiler tagging it to limit the offended parties. It doesn't seem to be working all that well tho.

 		Anything new?!
The complaints about personal attacks attacks aside, has anything of substance come up since the weekend? I'm not counting esoteric repetitive messages from JJ on facebook or more The Knife videos, but have there been any real clues?

My only other ARG experience is from The Beast, and at least when they started up, it seemed they had a few more solvable puzzles at the onset (they also tended to hide things in HTML and other linked media, so yeah you can expect people are going to try disassembling swf and stuff). If the PMs are upset that people are starting to focus on whois searches, its probably because they've hit a dead-end with the game content.

So far it seems we've got a few movies, a couple of websites, 2 of which have login screens with other obvious clues as to credentials (and some speculation that the way the swf is programmed, nothing would log in right now), and a girl held captive.

I see on the wikidot timeline that nighthawk got some emails yesterday. I think it's clear they're meant to be IG, perhaps an awkward attempt to get past the leaked meta? If so, I don't think it's particularly wise, cause it no doubt will take the game off script, and I'm not sure improv is the way to go here. Having said that, I'd be hunting down my web designer too if he wrote an entirely flash-based website that could have just as well been written in HTML and Ajax. If you ask me, Patrick has what's comin' to him. Wink

Nothing of note has been given for about a week (maybe more) that's why there is so much meta posting here. Nothing else to do and tech geeks start to take apart the game... it's why were not allowed to have operation ^_^
