the two turtle looking things mean 'the sun'. So double suns, or maybe two days?

Friend of mine says the last one could mean "Go, set place, house, or ruin."

Sotpyrk has been twittering

http://twitpic.com/ethur

From the double letters the cuneiform could be something like

FULL MOON

"It will be done before the sun"

Is this:

http://www.fullmooninn.com/

anywhere near the park?

ETA
West of Houston, but two hours from the park.

ETA 2

Lower right is the Sumerian god Enki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enki

which, in a sleep deprived stretch, could reveal Full Moon Inn(key). Or not....

New photo. I'm trying to isolate and remove the blur from the image. We might be able to pull something useful off that GPS. Namely, ETA, Destination. Anyone with experience should try this out.

What's he talking about? Did someone in SC supply Sotpyrk with information?
If so, what was said, and how can we use it against him?

Maybe Bruce's pics are the information that he's talking about. Maybe the PM was waiting for confirmation that someone lived in Houston before making a drop?

Entirely possible. It would be pointless to make a drop in a city devoid of any players. Having Bruce send picture confirmation might be the sign Sotpyrk was waiting for to move.

Well, if my theory is correct, if it is a drop it will be happening sometime today. Or will only be there till today. So if anyone can crack that code, it needs to be soonish. I can't devote any time to anything until Monday, sadly. Sad

Cuneiform

The symbols are cuneiform. I found page on Unicode Standard and found the symbols. I am still not sure what they mean, but this might help others get a little closer. Here is what I found:

http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U12000.pdf

Unicode of the symbols I found by row in the pic

1) 12220, 12055
2) 12313, 12313
3) 1236A, 1200A
4) 1202C, 1202C
5) 12351

Feel free to check my work

More info:

Combining the busywork poor Laguz has done and information from a Sumerian lexicon, I can add a couple suggestions. But I can't find some of the words, at all. For ZU-AB I can only provide the - likely wrong - approximation zu-a. And I don't know what X TIMES Y means in this context.
Here is what I got:

Quote:

ma-da: district, realm (Akkadian, maatu(m) I, 'land').

ud, u4: n., sun; light; day; time; weather; storm (demon) [UD archaic frequency: 419]. (2x)

zu-a: acquaintance ('to know' + nominative).

amar: calf; young animal (áma, 'wild cow mother', + re7, 'to accompany, plural') [AMAR archaic frequency: 297].
amar-a-a-si: calendar month 10 at Lagaš during Ur III.

Booba is probably right about the AB being GIN and therefore something about "walking", which isn't in the cuneiform index, though. Further, I'm not sure which part of the unicode is Sumerian, which is what we need here.

Note that Amaraasi is a month, which could go with the days. 2nd of some month? If it wasn't supposed to say "two days later".

If I put it all together, I could form "In two days [..] friend will come to this place to accompany me."

this fits. "In two days [..] friend will come to this place to accompany me." and now John Davis is missing.

I think Sotprk took John, this was the warning message.

almost there

I think the symbols have been created with this English to Sumerian cuneiform translator.
By coincidence I found the exact match for the third one. It's "water basin".

Now I also know what "times" means. Or suspect. It's a symbol within a symbol.
Check out this sweet site: http://psd.museum.upenn.edu/epsd/nepsd-frame.html
Put in "amar" at the bottom, set it to "dictionary" on the left and to "times" on the right. Then look at the right side, there is "AMAR׊E". It's "prayer".
However, the translator mentioned above can't seem to produce it...

If you look for UŠ there (now I know why I couldn't find USH, lol), it lists the following meanings: follow, lean, side, foundation, unit
But, once again, I can't reproduce that in the translator. Maybe it only uses the same graphics taken from a very prominent document or something like that.

Put it all together, I now get:
land
days (I think it's just plural, not necessarily two, same with prayers)
water basin
prayers
follow/lean/side/foundation/unit

GIN is one vertical line short of the symbol in the puzzle. So AB might still be a better match. BUT the drawings might not be perfect either, so who knows.
