from what I could find it looks like the note is in galacian not spanish. they are very similar but if you run what's in the note through igoogle's translator for galacian to english you get "txk kxt was here, I see you Robin Thatcher"

That's a pretty unique way of doing that, I gotta admit. Of course, entering the wrong password leads to a potential Javascript error and possible memory leak, but still. Razz

You might be right about that...I just had to shoot down FF, because it would keep freezing. I put a couple "test strings" in the field before trying real guesses. Laughing

Actually, that reads exactly in line with his Txkkxt's previous tweets. Robin is asking for a translation. Reckon mine scared him silly. Shocked Yours is better.

It's might be Portuguese from "vexar". Still the proper translation though. Very Happy

Also, txkkxt: I have my reasons [for watching Robin]

Btw, I wonder if all the "keys" will be lock or key related, like this time it was sherlock.

For the curious, looking at the file "one_sherlock.js", "two.php" page is accessible only through a redirected form post as a result of clicking on the images.

You simply can't navigate to it, apparently. You MUST go through the motions, and it must be a POST.

The message sent to Robin Thatcher is half spanish, half latin (as amandel said).

However, the spanish bit is awkwardly worded

"TXK KXT estaba aqui" sort of means "TXK KXT used to be here"

In english, however, one would translate it as "TXK KXT was here"

However, in spanish, this is more correctly written as "TXK KXT estuvo aqui"

so we can assume that TXK KXT is not a natvie spanish speaker.

I tried sherlock and got nothing. I still get nothing when I enter that in. Nevermind, I'm an idiot.

And you guys have made a lot of progress in a few short hours.

Being a native Spanish speaker myself (half Spaniard, half Cuban, so I know both ends), I can tell you that there isn't one universal "Spanish".

"...estuvo..." is arguably more eloquent, and would be proper of Spain and certain South American countries (Venezuela, Argentina, Chile).

But in most of South America, particularly the comparatively less developed and more rural countries (Cuba, Colombia, even Mexico) "...estaba..." would be perfectly acceptable.

The only Spanish I know comes from CSI Miami, and I don't think YEEEEEAAAAHHH is in the context of this arg. So, I'm just going to trust your basic judgement.

Dude, I don't want to get into a "my spanish is better than your spanish" catfight Catfight! , but I would expect that if the dude is quoting latin and was a spanish speaker, he would know and use the correct grammar.

Sure, it is a matter of style, but to my native spanish speaker ears (or eyes in this case Wink), it is awkwardly worded with what he was implying. All I'm saying is that the PM may not be a native speaker of either spanish or latin Very Happy (because this would imply higher education)

Most Mexicans would probably not consider themselves "south americans", and neither do the Cubans I've met Confused

But I take your meaning, our language is one of the most beautiful and one of the most pisoteadas in the world Laughing Wink Rolling Eyes
