dreamerblue and sportyjen27 on their way to rescue Noah. :@)

dreamerblue and sportyjen27 have started the mission in Toronto! WooHoo!
You can watch the live tracking from http://gpsmission.com/user/pricklypear/missionsCreated by clicking on the "show track" and then on "live tracking" on the bottom right corner of that pop-up.

eta: They ran the whole mission. We are now just waiting for them to check in with the skull info. :@)

Unfortunately only sportyjen27 was able to register for & complete the mission because my cell phone provider did something really stupid (good thing I had her & her iPhone with me!), but it's done and we went to a Rogers store on the way home to fix my issues (so I could do the mission again later if I really wanted to).

Dear Rogers:

I know when I first got my iPhone I asked you to block the Internet from my phone so I wouldn't get any data charges, but when someone orders a data plan, ya think maybe they might want that block taken off???

Sigh.

Good to have the mission done, though Smile.

Edit: here are pics I took during the mission: http://www.flickr.com/photos/shiny_sink/sets/72157621925167311/

From the atlanta mission, in case it's useful to you:

The first waypoint's URL was http://thewaytheirworldended.com/clip-but-the-ground

Then we got smarter and switched to using screenshots:

To save space I'll HLink #3-12.

Thank you for doing a mission, I hope you enjoyed yourself.

the funny thing is, we no longer needed all of the URLs -- it was the string near the top of your image (P-H19406O6587N632512A3) which was the new data. The URLs were given to players in other ways months ago when it was apparent no one was able to complete the GPS missions as planned. The revised missions were built on the originals but with the addition of the P-string and the pignose indicator symbol :@]

Just to let you know, that string does become a url for us like this:
http://thewaytheirworldended.com/SAI-P-H19406O6587N632512A3
but the data was duplicated on another mission also completed today.

Again, thank you. Stick around and enjoy the rest of the show!

Well, hey, that's interesting:

I just logged in to my GPS Mission profile, as I was going to head out today and pick up some gold, maybe look for missions here in the Raleigh area, and I noticed that I have a Jurian trophy!

I have no idea when it appeared, but I am pretty sure it was not there shortly after we did the skull'd versions of the missions.

But yeah, the two missions I did have their own trophies - one for Los Angeles, and one for Hollywood, and they have a cute graphic of Essy holding her Spartan helmet, figurine-style, on a little wooden base that has a metal plaque on it with a ":@" engraved on it. So this Jurian one is entirely separate, and must be a special mission reward created for the new version of the L.A. mission.

Those of you who did missions with skulls should check your profiles - I bet you have skull trophies, too!

I believe you can see this page without being signed in, so here:

http://gpsmission.com/user/krystyn/trophies

(it's the Jurian skull, laid over the Society insignia, and the eyes of the skull contain the words "This was the way/their world ended")
