Alright, Slender Freak, that's a bit of an assumption. No one told you that, you don't know it for a fact, this isn't your story. At least back up your claim with something, instead of just trying to mold the story to your own view.

Everyone subconsciously does that when they play any game or experience any story. That said, it would be best if we worked by logic here--if you're going to make a claim, be able to back it up. Would you do that here, Slender Freak?

Sorry about the lack of pictures--I haven't gotten a chance to get my hands on a good camera yet. I'm still working on it though.

Okay, I took the letters remaining from the YOUR MOVE page after I took LOGAN out, and worked out all the permutations that began R-vowel, to see if I could come up with an "uncommon" surname that might turn into a googleable lead, or a page on Facebook or MySpace where we could confirm it's JAF's Logan R. I tried the ones that seemed most likely first, and have come up with a big, fat nothing.

So either I'm completely barking up the wrong tree with this idea, or we're mis-reading or missing letters from that page.

Other possibilities:
- It's an anagram of something else. (Both LANE and ROUTE are possible words contained in the letters. Perhaps it's a location.)
- It's not an anagram at all, but something based on the spatial location of those letters to each other. Perhaps it's some sort of notation with which I'm not familiar?

I also did some quick searching about the house at 215 that's drawn in the book. The phone number we have for Joshua is apparently a Schenectady, NY number. According to a comment Dav left on the latest entry at the JAF blog, Logan lived on Ash Tree Lane, of which there is one in a community just outside Schenectady. There is no such address as 215 Ash Tree Lane there, which means it is not a drawing of Logan's residence. The drawing also appears to have been begun by Matt (ie. pencil), so perhaps it is a drawing of either his or someone else's residence. The rectangle above the eave over the door could also be some sort of sign, indicating that it's a commercial building, or a building on a college campus. In either case, it seems to be a place both Matt and Logan would have been familiar with, since Logan added the "215".

And a question: Any idea what Logan's tallymarks from the inside of the cover might be for?

edited for grammar.

Possibly a happy accident, but following on the tree theme, from Wikipedia:
Quote:
The name "Schenectady" is derived from a Mohawk word for "on that side of the pinery," or "near the pines."

Ahh.

The Angel of Death, Charon, etc., etc., don't actually kill people. They take souls where they need to go. "Guiding." Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I KNOW there are other House of Leaves fans around this forum... I like the similarities between the end of this notebook and the end of that book. Eh? Eh?

Now I'm irritated. Half way through reading the blogs we get our wireless router, installed that and went to carry on reading and now it keeps telling me the server needs a password and user name!

Don't know if that location is going to be IG or OOG, but since it looks like it's in a public area, I guess it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

I'm not sure if a location is what we're actually supposed to be looking for, but I'm so stuck on figuring anything else out from the notebook I'll go with any lead we've got right now.
