The one thing I'm really interested to see is what happens to the remaining two people on the list -- assuming JA and LR are Josh and Logan respectively; and that HIM is Slenderman; zygotesix, msheadwound, Dav, and tetsuyahbh are only 4 of the remaining 6. If those question marks on the "Found. You." entry do refer to players, they're presumably not going to be getting pages out of the notebook (unless BH is hiding something from us! Wink ).

Logan seems to really be stressing the importance of a certain number of people (or, uh, extra-dimensional beings) in this notebook, so: do we have any theories about if/how they will be contacted or play into the story?

(Usual deal: lurking for a while, finally decided to log in, &c &c)

Scanned Notebook

I scanned the notebook earlier tonight. It's in a .zip file, and the numbering will indicate which page is missing. I did not rotate any of the vertical spreads to maintain authenticity.

I don't think he's meant to match up to any specific being, although he could certainly slot in as an unnamed jotun.

could theoretically be loki

what with his other transformation powahs >_>

I disappear for a weekend and miss everything. Great.

At least now we have a fairly complete set of mailings - we need to start comparing. If there are images in the thread of all the pages we got (I need to go check, I'm lazy) plus BH's scans of the book, I can photoshop it into one long image so we can compare easily...

one thing I was thinking watching the video is there might not be a running code through it like last time. I didn't notice anything specific, but I haven't seen the scans yet.

Ok, first thing I noticed watching the video: Nine worlds. After a quick search, I found Wikipedia had an article.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norse_cosmology

Just another reference to the Norse Mythos, but no real clues as to how it ties in with the people that received or are included within this .

Btw: Logan Renault! Is he a car? =O

I found a little hidden SM stickman on the last page of the notebook. I had to tweak the colors in GIMP since its really hard to see the black on black. It looks like (IMHO) he's kinda peeking up around the corner and reaching out at us w/ his arms!

I transcribed all the text from notebook, including descriptions of drawings and my observations of implied meanings. Please make corrections where needed.

[My observations in brackets; all other text appears as-is]

#p0
[cover; impressionistic rendering of SM; white hands (maybe shirt cuffs), head, an eye (maybe glasses), shirt and tie visible on black background]

#p1
[Handwriting is neat, controlled]
[All handwriting in book in black ink; caps and punctuation have been typed as written unless noted; text on R page unless noted]

Today is a good day.

#p2
[Handwriting is very sloppy, uncontrolled]
[Written primarily on L page]

Today is not?
[Underneath is a large scribble; may be a question mark; Appears to be a response to #p1]

#p3
[Handwriting is neat, controlled]

The sun hasn't risen or fallen in days.
Weeks.

I can't help but think that me
somehow losing track of time is far
more likely then the sun slowing
in its orbit.

But if we are all slowly spiraling
towards that brilliant star, than this
is all ultimately useless anyway.

Solution -> [Arrow points to Oct, down and to the right]
<- ? [Arrow also points to Oct, diagonally to the left]

Oct 1, 4:42 PM
[Note that all dates and times appear in lower right hand corner unless specified]

[Author implies he has lost perception of time; Arrow with question mark may mean he doubts the date; Arrow with "Solution" may mean that keeping track of the date and time is his solution to alleviate his imperception of it passing]

#p4
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]

Night [underlined]
I pray for daylight
To even our fight

OctOctOctOctOctOctOct [may be spaces between]

[Author implies that darkness gives his opponent an advantage; Multiple "Oct" may be repetition for memorization]

#p5
[Handwriting is neat, controlled]

I was hit by a car this morning.

I ran before he could even ask if
I was alright.

Why did I do that?

Oct 4; 8 AM

#p6
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]

More importantly

WHY am I alright?

[WHY underlined; Appears to be a response to #p5]

Oct 4 Noon [o's in noon appear as scribbles]

#p7
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]

I know where he came from

#p8
[Handwriting is neat, controlled]

So I have a theory.

A theory whose extent is just "not
from here"

Beyond that lies research and
experience.

When was the last time I slept?
I honestly have no idea if what
I'm writing makes sense.

Oct 7, 2:37 PM

[Appears to be a response to #p7; Author implies his opponent is "not from here"; Note 1st occurrence of 2:37]

#p9
[1st drawing; spans both pages; humanoid figure in center (vertically) surrounded by indeterminate scribbles]

#p10
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]

He fell for my trap!

[Handwriting is neat, controlled]

I fell for his.

Oct 9, 2:37 PM

[Handwriting changes in style and font size; Larger font implies excitement; Smaller font implies defeat; Note 2nd occurrence of 2:37]

#p11
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]

If you keep seeing how high
you can climb [climb underlined, trails into indeterminate scribble]

Eventually you will fall

2:37 PM

[Note 3rd occurrence of 2:37]

#p12
[2nd drawing; spans both pages; humanoid stick figure in center (horizontally) with recognizable legs; 8 arms that end in arrows at 8 circles; Combo of arrow heads and circles implies clock faces; Note stick figure's head could be a 9th circle]

#p13
[3rd drawing; only on R page; Easily recognizable clock face showing 2:37; hour hand on 2 is circled; Note 4th occurrence of 2:37]

#p14
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]
[On L page]

Who do you trust? [Bottom of the "d" in "do" drawn many times implying a circle]

[On R page]

WHO
CouLd
I TRUST

["Who" written in caps; W is larger and heavier implying emphasis]
[C is larger and heavier implying emphasis; U and D obviously written in lower case; L is obviously written in upper case; top of L forms an arrow pointing to the O in WHO above; "Trust written in all caps; I is larger and heavier implying emphasis]

[Underneath of drawing of a stick figure walking (running); figure overlayed with large question mark]

#p15
[4th drawing; spans both pages; small humanoid figure standing on ground on R page appears to be towered over by large humanoid figure on L page; large figure also implies the shape of a tree and branches]
[Black circle appears where date and time normally would; circle has been drawn over several times darkening it]

#p16
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled]
[On L page]

Not
Quite
[Arrow to the L of words drawn in slight arc and pointing to page edge; Author implies this refers to #p15; Possibly referring to scale of large figure]

[On R page]

I lost the page about immortality.

[Simple clock drawing appears in normal date and time place; Hands indicate 2:37; Note 5th occurrence of 2:37]

#p17
[On L page]
[Drawing of what appears to be a humanoid figure similar to #p12; 4 parallel vertical lines surround figure, 2 to each side; Lines imply trees or doorways, much larger than the figure; Word "NO" is scribbled and barely legible over 4th line]

[On R page]

Seven [Strike-through; Written in strange disjointed font]
Worlds! [in same strange font; followed by 6 more disjointed lines that don't appear to form letters]

No No [Large, scribbled, barely legible; 1st lightly, 2nd heavily]

[Handwriting neat, controlled]
He is one.
You are one.
He was one.

[Thick arrow originates to the left of this block of text; Points up in slight arc and splits in 2 arrows pointing at "Seven" "Worlds"; Author implies that "he" and "you" are each one of the "worlds"]

NoNoNo!!! [Large, scribbled, barely legible]

[Handwriting neat, controlled]
Nine Worlds [all caps, but first letters drawn larger for emphasis]

[Author implies he had thought there were 7 worlds, but determined there were actually 9; Neat middle text has the cadence of counting]

#p18
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled but gets progressively larger and more sloppy down the page]

fate. It surrounds us,
Guides us.
DRAWS US TOGETHER.

It is permanent.
UNWAVERING,

ONCE
YOUR FATE IS DECIDED, IT
IS Not about to change. [change underlined; All 3 lines start on L page and the last 2 span both pages]

#p19
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; font stylized for emphasis; large letters take up 1/3 of page]

Fate

#p20
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape contrry to page ruling]
[On L page]

In my moments of refrain, I will try to

[On R page
I [page number (upper R hand corner)]

YOU are,
in fact, quite special [special underlined]

[YOU scribbled very large in center of page]

#p21
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape; page separated from notebook]

II [page number]

YOU will live
a brief but far more wondrous life than the
billions of other "people" on this planet

[YOU scribbled very large in center of page; "live" underlined and written diagonally under "will"]

#p22
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape; page separated from notebook]

III [page number]

there are only nine truly conscious beings
in existence, YOU are
one of them

[YOU scribbled very large in center of page]

[Attached yellow Post-It note indicated "For Dav"]

#p23
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape; page separated from notebook]

IV [page number]

[YOU scribbled very large in center of page]

#p25

[Presumably this page would be in the style of #p20 on with the page number VI and "YOU" scribbled in the center]

#p25
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape]

V [page number]

I was not
able to find
[written to the L of YOU]

YOU
[scribbled very large in center of page]

but as
fate draws the
nine together
[written to the R of YOU]

without fail, you will undoubtedly read
this one way or another
[written underneath YOU; "without fail" underlined; R in "another" stylized and drawn long]

#p26
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape]
[On L page; written upside down]

Do you think this might be for you?
THEN IT IS
others will say that they think it
belongs to them, but do they THINK?

["THEN" and "say" underlined; dot at bottom of question mark drawn large and emphasized]

[On R page]

VII [page number]

YOU
[scribbled very large in center of page]

are but
a child,
[written to the R of YOU]

occupying the world that once belonged to
one of my closest friends
[written underneath YOU]

#p27
[Handwriting is stressed, but still controlled; written in landscape]

VIII [page number]

HE has been
pursuing
[written to the L of YOU; "pursuing" double underlined]

ME
[scribbled very large in center of page, darker and sloppier than the previous "YOU"]

and thus
until
HE
actually
[written to the R of YOU]

catches me, I am largely immortal. but this
constant chase is not a life I am able to live much
longer, and I am unsure if I want to
[written underneath YOU; period after "immortal" drawn as open circle; refers to immortality on #p16; R in "longer" stretched out as in #p25]

#p28
[Handwriting is stressed (almost neat), but more controlled than #p20-27; written in landscape]

IX [page number]

HE will follow you, watch you, and
[Written above HIM]

eventually,
you will
notice
[Written to the L of HIM]

HIM
[written (not scribbled) very large in center of page; darker, neater, and thinner than the previous YOU and ME]

and only then
will he begin his
real pursuit. you
cannot, in the
truest
[Written to the R of HIM]

sense of the word, hide from him
[Written underneath HIM; "hide" underlined]

#p29
[Handwriting is stressed (almost neat), but more controlled than #p20-27]
[On L page]

If this page stays with this
notebook, then one day, HE
will get my message

[On R page in landscape]

you can simply open your
EYES,
and that, and only that will keep him at
bay. but he is aware of his weakness,
and will do his best to eliminate it

[EYES is partially scribbled very large in center of page; darker, neater, and thinner than the previous YOU and ME but more sloppy than HIM; EYES is flanked by a distinct drawings of an eye on each side; the pupils are dark circles as previously seen on #p15 and #p18]

#p30
[Handwriting is stressed, but controlled; letters are large and take up the entire page]

ALWAYS
TURN
AROUND

["Around" is darker and heavier for emphasis]

#p31
[Handwriting is neat, controlled]
[On L page]

You just might
be
next

[On R page; written landscape on inside of back cover]

Goodbye [underlined]

[Barely visible image of stick man figure with apparently long arms is in the lower R hand corner]

[GENERAL OBSERVATIONS:
Author appears to be suffering from insomnia, paranoia, and delusions
Author refers x5 to the time 2:37
Author refers to "9 worlds"
7 YOUs + 1 ME + 1 HIM = 9 ppl
#p12 stick figure has 8 (arms+circles) + 1 Head = 9 parts

I thought the disjointed lines could be runes (one definitely looks like Jera), but looking at it for a while I can't make sense of them that way. I might be using the wrong runic alphabet.

The arrows + circles on the two-page spread of Slender Man do seem to form something clock like, but it's basically impossible to read what the times would be on them due to the messy handwriting. My opinion is that it's an idea/theme there, not a specific clue on that page.

I don't know if this is supposed to be that specific notebook, or if that is a third, unrelated notebook, and this is a new one that just happens to also be Moleskine. The lined notebook is much smaller than the one that belonged to Matt, and I have no idea how one would confuse them.

Looks to me like the strange disjointed handwriting of "seven worlds" is actually the words being made out of the number 7, rotated at various angles.

I honestly think that this and Marble Hornets are connected in a way other than including SM. The page about "eyes" and the "turn around" makes me even more certain of this. It reminds me of Entry #10, where Alex is running from Slender Man, but stops and turns around every few seconds.
